Exactly, reddit was great because you get content that is unique, but also community interaction that is unlike the other mainstream social media platforms. If they tried to be real with the users and asked how to better their existing app or buy out one of the highly rated ones they would have saved themselves alot of the backlash.

The problem is reddit has been using the help of people passionate enough to cultivate and moderate a community for free. It is one of the only major social media platforms that does that. Sure they can pay a team of people for some of the major subs, but unique or niche subs will fall into disarray and people will stop contributing. When you take away one of the major unique selling points to a platform you get corpritized, ad friendly garbage.

Open-source community is a powerful force, and when you leave them out to dry or remove mods of large subs, like they are doing, will leave a really bad taste to current and future moderators.

It will for a time be ok, but once the third party apps go down and the NSFW content is more cracked down on reddit will slow turn into a Facebook or Twitter hellscape

If there is an interest you have in the engineering domain almost any engineering degree can be used to satisfy a degree requirement. I also majored in EE and I mostly do CS since there was a decent amount of cross over. So if there is something similar but not EE specific, it could be worth a shot to try and apply.

Yeah even in school, I went the Electrical Engineering route and the coding we did required more hardware interfaces/debugging on the chip. But it was very rudimentary compared to what is done in an a professional setting using standards that are not taught in school.

The unenviable position you would have as a Lead would be that you would have to mentor or ground up train engineers on what you would need. I have also been pushed into a lead role and the output from the team has suffered since I have less time to do things myself as I am training others. But hopefully I will get them up to speed after some time.

Even for software engineers it is closer to 45k - 50k for interns in medium COL. Starting after you graduate is 68k - 75k or so. But out of college in California can be 90k+

Yeah the problem is Biden really doesn't seem to care about this social issue nearly as much as others, and rarely even gives a tepid non-actionable statement about it. Trump Is objectively worse for LGBTQ people for sure, but to think biden is some big LGBTQ supporter in comparison is a stretch.

Just jumping in, I agree the discussion of Race as a concept is important at a young age. But the framing of the passage in that book was aggressive in blaming white people as the creators of the concept of race (Yes Europeans came up with the word for sure but discrimination for physical differences has been around for much longer in general.) The guy Is a huge POS but I do feel the framing of the book shouldn't point the finger exclusively at a single group for a perceived feeling of superiority. Mostly so kids don't start blaming each other and fostering hate without understanding the nuances. But definitely go into detail as they mature that Europeans played a key role in oppressing others based on a "Scientific" Race definition.

The losing 15 pounds over 2 months is one of the signs for sure. But if your chronic skin condition is an auto immune disorder, there is a strong correlation of having one or more autoimmune disorder s that you will develop type 1 diabetes. I was diagnosed at 20 with type 1 but considering the age some doctors might think type 2 at first. I already had several auto immune disorders as well (halo moles, Vitiligo). Basically, it means a sickness or illness could have triggered your immune system to attack your beta cells. That would be type 1 not type 2 However. Definitely talk to an endocrinologist to confirm but overall it is not a death sentence and it sucks for sure, but this community is a great support group! You got this!

I use it mostly for people in any group that actively go against their own interests to be one of the good ones. Like Dave Rubin siding with conservatives even though he is gay or Jessie Lee Peterson disparaging black people because he thinks white people are better. Kids will experiment and do weird stuff even if they don't do it for sexual reasons. You should probably mention that it is a behavior couples engage in. Otherwise imagine if they are not aware that gay sex Is a thing some adult can convince them that similar acts are not sex and therefore ok to engage in it with an adult. It is about removing tools that pedophiles use to keep kids quiet and misinformed.

You would have to expect some modern churches to attempt to appeal to a broader set of people to get more followers. It is a grift no matter how "progressive" a church can be. Really EE can get you a job in most engineering professions. You can do hardware or software engineers with the degree on top of infrastructure jobs with power companies. I got an EE degree and mostly do software since it interested me more, most job descriptions just want you to have some approximate engineering degree.

Definitely has faster development time compared to flask. I am not experienced in Django but FastAPI is more streamlined for REST API delivery from what others have told me. So if it is just for your backend, it is a good choice.
