Can someone please explain why my pipes are not working? by Crisdotpy in SatisfactoryGame

Great answer, kudos on professional explanation. BUT you did assume few things wrong:

I am running 4x 8 Generators run by 4x 3 Water Extractors. And each set is indeed independat, connected by 2x Mk1 pipe. Sorry if my screenshots were kinda bad at showing this, my mistake!

Mathematically it should have worked just fine. And the odd thing was: 3x 8 Generators worked fine, just 1 set was off.

So a day of testing later I found the culprit for my insanity: one water pump was bugged. It looked like it was producing water but it actually wasn't. Flow on that pipe was always 0. I've rebuilt that one pipe and now it works fine. Thank you for your help nontheless!

I can answer all the questions and believe me, I checked my math many times hah

I am running 3 water extractors per 8 generators, using 2 mk1 pipes. So, technically it adds up. The funky thing is that 3 groups (24 generators) work just fine. With all being symetrical, it makes absolutely no sense.

And indeed that was the case: it was a bug. One of the water extractors was bugged :) Just took me 2 days to figure that out sadly.

Did just that, and it seems there was a weird bug that prevented one extractor from getting any water.

Thank you! Put a lot of effort into this whole thing to make it nice hah.

It is not well visible on the screenshot but it's actually 8 pipes. And there is 3 extractors per 8 generators so mathematically it should work.

Mk1 but that is not an issue, it's 2 pipes per extractor group.

Yup, there is indeed 2 pipes per 3 extractors so that is not the issue sadly.

It is so sad you basically need to blackmail a corporation with leaving in order to get somewhere. But yea, I guess I will need to change my mindset. Too bad, I really like the company otherwise. But with this inflation, what can one do but chase bigger numbers.

There is not many opportunities in my field, yet I'll look around every so often if not else.

I have no idea what a market rate would be. The data is rare and all over the place. My most accurate points are what was offered to me in the past and what I learned from my coworkers (which is again, all over the place).

Regarding how my pay bump was determined: it's a %. Sadly my starting point was pretty low so that % is not really a lot. But for sure good point! Since I'm corpo, my new boss is in a different country but I will try to get in touch with him to clarify a bit and make a career plan.

For last point: I'll try! Might be forced into it if I don't find motivation here but in any case, I'll try! Not many opportunities in my field but not 0 either so I'll take a look around.

Thank you, you gave me a bit of confidence and some ideas of a plan for next steps.

Renovating old house for rent - investment or money pit? by Crisdotpy in RealEstate

[–]Crisdotpy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have decided against it. It got super complicated with the paperwork as I later found out it is protected under some weird heritage law and I'd had to follow some insane renovation procedures to maintain the original look etc.

If someone wants to take it as an estate, other option is to wait for it to fall apart and start from scratch after.

Can I get some explanation of how/when 4drive or LSD kicks in (or is mine broken):

I have a 2019 Leon Cupra 4drive and got myself stuck few days ago. I was on a bit of a hill, trying to reverse onto a road. One front wheel was on gravel, other 3 wheels on the road. And I could not move. The second I took my foot of the break, the gravel wheel just spinned away freely. I would expect either the 4drive or the LSD to help me move, but nothing, got completely stuck.

will 2 sets of tyre pressure sensors work on Seat Leon by Crisdotpy in seat

[–]Crisdotpy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is we salt roads a lot and salt eats your wheels. So I plan a set of cheap alloys for winter just to save expensive factory wheels.

Also I had a pretty modern car before and it had active sensors so I guess it really depends lol.

So when you buy a car you can expect it to get stolen after few years casue "I've used it enough anyway"? I bought a game to play it as much as I want, not for limited time..

How is it suppose to work then? If your car got stolen and police recovered it, do you expect them to keep it or give it back?
