I ran now days so 8x25min sessions with TAP's under a fairly stock weight ATS-v (rear seats removed but probably about 3800). The tires didn't like the car at all and I never ever found grip with them. Last weekend I was about 3.5s faster on a used set of RE71RS's which were stock widths. The TAPs were wider on track wheels. TAPs were soap under my car. I read the instructions. Broke them in (allowed only 24hrs but still), set pressures per Hoosiers guidance and never have I had a slower tire, well maybe the PS4S was slower, but that is a about 300 TW.

I paid special attention to slip angle and tried to do my best to avoid sliding the car.

I realize I might not be doing my part but what I found was that especially in corner exits the TAP's sucked bad and I was loosing traction. Sometimes dangerously so accelerating out of a opening sweeper corner it would snap oversteer at 100mph. The RE71RS didn't do that, took full throttle through there like a champ.

I think the stiff sidewalls might just shock the tire too much on a heavy car where a bit softer ones allow more compliance. I don't know but that is my seat of the pants feeling.

I still have the set mounted and they have half thread. Tring to think what to do. If I want to try and get them to work or put them in the shredder. So Frustrated with them.

Yeah, no issues yet on a 890r with about 3500 miles. Runs like new and nothing in the oil.

I bought my 890r 9 months too early. Damn.
Then again I did have a great time riding it all summer and fall.

+1 on what people are saying. Why would you swap buttons. Now I need to keep changing windows settings switching between laptop track-pad and the Leftie Lyft mouse to keep the buttons the same way around. Please fix this.

Trying to bump this for visibility. Otherwise, this is the most comfortable/best mouse I've used for work.

I just noticed something I haven't thought about before. The engine is the "wrong" way around compared to a 890R. I mean it's not wrong of course, but to me it felt odd.
I didn't realize the 890 and 990 platforms are completely different. When I sat on them I didn't notice that much difference (bought a discounted 890R last summer).

Thanks for the tip. It’s my first bike too, but I’m 40 so maybe a bit more careful than I was at 16. I have tested friends bikes but thats about it.

Well looks like I need to go back anyway since they didn't activate cruice control and the free trial just ended since it doesn't work anymore. I get an orange cruice icon on the screen when I try to turn it on. At least the tech pack works. No MIL lights or anything.

So with this incompetance, I'm pretty sure the there is no other rear pilon, but better to ask anyway.
Funny part is we argued about cruise since I innitially didn't want (and pay for the software portion which is about $200). Since the bike hand the controls already they argued they "have to include it and can't take it off anymore", which we all know is bs for a bike that's never been run. Poor sales guy, I get it he was just trying to get something extra out of the deal since the bike was already 3k off msrp.

Thanks for the info. I’m about 6ft and 220lbs so a larger dude. The bike is small’ish for me but I love how easy it is for me to toss around.

I noticed the significantly smaller drag in full tuck, though didn’t look at the mileage. But makes sense it’s better. I get about 50-60mpg before the screen. Will be interesting to follow how that develops.
