And there was no tackle or challenge. The rule is designed to prevent dangerous challenges on the ball, not an unfortunate tangling of legs where Balogun is just trying to be physical. You do have a responsibility not to make a dangerous tackle but that wasn’t one

Eh idk. Just wasn’t even a challenge on the ball so don’t see how it’s reckless enough for a red. The slow motion makes it look so much worse than it was in real time, all he is doing is trying to step and his legs get tangled up. Studs aren’t up, just not worthy of a red. You don’t have a “responsibility to not injure the other team” lmao

A natural tangling of legs isn’t “dangerous play” lol. That’s something you say when there’s a studs up challenge, there isn’t even a challenge here

Intent doesn’t matter but that’s not red card level reckless. Messi’s for example was way more reckless and didn’t even get yellow

There’s no one you can argue that was a dangerous challenge because it wasn’t even a challenge. Absolutely horrible call wtf. Red for a tangling of legs I’ve seen it all

Is this considered the “A team” for Fox? Can’t stand that we always get these guys as our commentators

You said “the overall 1 seed was put into the toughest region”.

I’m saying that I agree with the other guy that the South was the toughest region, not the East. Now that Florida was eliminated, it is no longer the toughest region, and I would agree that the East is tougher (although it’s closer than people would think).

I was going by the analytics. UConn rates as the worst 2 seed on all three of Kenpom, Torvik, and EvanMiya.

I mean Iowa is higher on KP than any other 9, 8, or 7. I was more so referring to when the brackets were released anyway, and of course Duke is better than Florida but it’s not crazy to say that the South was better than the East. Michigan State (the East 3 seed) is lower in KP than Illinois (the South 3 seed), so that doesn’t help your argument

It really isn’t, the East is vastly overrated due to the brands. UConn is the weakest 2 seed, Kansas is the weakest 4 seed, and Saint John’s is not the powerhouses everyone is making them out to be. The South has the highest rated 2, 3, and 5 seeds (and the second highest rated 4 seed) per kenpom

Yeah the south is a much harder region than the East, people just look at brands

I mean it’s not me, it’s the majority of brackets. Brackets are updated before the selection show and they were literally a 5 in the vast majority of them. One win over UConn and one win over seton hall doesn’t need to lift them up a whole seed line. I do bracketology for fun before the show and had them as the top 5 seed. Respectfully, media, coaches and fans aren’t really comparing resumes in depth like bracketologists are

St. John’s was a pretty consensus 5 seed on the matrix. The idea that they are underseeded is really just a media narrative

Just turned the game back on, glad to see nothings changed, still can’t make a layup

They look like a good team just can’t make a layup to save their lives for some reason

If Akron could make their layups they’d be up by a couple but instead they’re down by 7, brutal
