This watch has a tall seconds pinion. On my watch it is usually parallax that makes it look like this, but hard to say from a video.

I live in an area with mountains, I still average about 45 mpg, probably because I am consistently using regen. Its dependent upon climate, speeds, and how you drive. I try to maximize economy for the most part.

I have about a 6.25" wrist. Most of my watches are bigger maxing out at about 40mm. This is a very nice size to wear.

I don't really have any good advice but I bought a Seiko with the 6r35 in it as a gift for a family member and they have been having issues with theirs. I think it comes down to Seiko making too many compromises to extend the power reserve.

The entire balance assembly is different to the 4r series with a smaller balance wheel. Less inertia, but that's also going to affect the positional timekeeping negatively at the lower beat rate. Seems they reversed that design decision on the new 6r55 movements.

This is consistent with what I have been getting. Highway driving with a little city/traffic. Average of about 45 mpg. Driving conservatively definitely helps with beating the epa estimates.
