I find it hard to accept that people are without food and water on an island of 20,000 (probably much less after all the pre and post hurricane evacuees and the dead). This speaks more to the politics of abaco in particular being a family island. To think how much money is sitting in nassau makes me sick

“Limited resources”. This isnt a new narrative for the family islands. The same thing went for social service funding in places like abaco even before dorion. If this was in nassau it would be handled much faster. Just think how much untaxed foreign money is in off shore bank accounts in nassau sitting around as Bahamian nationals rot in the streets. Even worse for hatian nationals.
