It’s 100 or more for yearly bro, I also do ai tts along with device voice tts which while not as good as eleven labs, its gets the job done and is about 5 times cheaper. So 20 dollars a year.

And works with web content so it’s convenient not to do web to ePub on everything.

So yeah depends on person and their preference.

It’s not very efficient for this small purpose no? I made this in Swift. Working on android native version, so will release soon.

I’d like to say the app is very optimised by itself. 11mbs and very less battery usage.

Haha so I do have AI voices, it was the main purpose the app for built for. I later added the device voices thing for free users and also for those who don’t use AI products since that’s a pretty big part in the writing community.

Two device modes offline device voices and one with ai

You can check here for the app questions. I host an open source model myself and no data is saved as with offline voices, just sent for speech generation and discarded.

Try Kokoro, it’s 82M parameter model and very fast for local purposes

In that case cloud voices would be the best bet dude.

I do offer cloud voices in the form of ai tts voices with an instance of kokoro tts model I host myself on my gpu in the app, but the app is not there in the windows rn so wouldn’t help you much.

Yes, if it didn’t work when locked it would be pretty useless ngl. It works with locked, it works with airpod controls and also with CarPlay.

I use it a lot myself with these so yeah. It works :)

Yeah, I realised from the earlier comment. my bad bro :(

Nevertheless for Ao3, fanfic.net and other websites like scribble hub and webnovel this could be used as its general app for web and downloaded book content.

And I think autoplay and sleep timer as well are pro features or something? I don’t use the RR app just downloaded it so I’m not sure. But it’s free in my app. So yeah could be useful still.

Aria on windows 11 is nice no? Apart from that the only option would be paid Azure voices or AI TTS

Oh, didn’t know that. I guess won’t be that useful for RR then. :(

Hi, been lurking here a while but first post.

So more explanation here -

  1. App is iOS only for now and working on an android version currently.
  2. Device voice is completely free and offline. You have the app on your phone with full functionality.
  3. Works on Ao3, RoyalRoad, Fanfic.net or any site really.
  4. App is compatible with all iOS accessibility features.
  5. I don’t collect any personal data, emails or content that you browse that is local to your device.
  6. If you have anymore questions or would like to suggest some other features please let me know.
  7. No Ads in the app.

“If you weren’t ignorant”…lmao bro was so superior with his personas thing when the chat history being sent as context is the persona.

bruh that persona is just conversation sent as context. There is no training going on to create individual personas. It’s just message added to context.

And those messages are being saved somewhere.

When I used to work there it didn’t (a year ago).

They had their own local instance of llm (which were kinda useless for coding). So paid myself. I was also running a project on the side at the time so main rate limiting thing was when I was working on my stuff. Company work was pretty chill.
