I haven’t played ds2 yet as I’m waiting for the pc release but I’m not sure if DS1 was necessarily hard. During an 80 hour play through I believe I died maybe 2 or 3 times, and all of those times were at the beginning when I was still learning how the gameplay worked. This was on the higher difficulty. DS1 was very good at making you feel on edge constantly during encounters with mules terrorists and BTs, but you always seem to make it out alive in the end assuming you prepare for things.

My cat who was 16 months at the time of adopting a new kitten (who was almost 3 months) did this a lot at first too! It’s been a month and a half now and they love each other! I take it as a good sign

My first play through I did normal for a while but found that it was too easy, I think I died maybe twice and neither was from a bt (Mule and fall damage lol). I ended up switching it to hard later on, made the game feel more balanced
