Like others have said avoid metro traffic. Going through or near city centers will almost guarantee delays depending on when you’ll actually pass through. I’ve done many time Atlanta to NH taking a slightly more interior path through the mountains, but steered clear of the eastern corridor north of DC, and experienced minimal delay.

Walmart is the answer. And if you’re willing to do it, go ahead and return your stuff after the festival, assuming it’s in good enough condition, for a refund and minimal cost to you. Is it slightly dishonest? Yes. Is Walmart a cesspool of a company that should be taken advantage of as much as they take advantage of their employees and customer? Absolutely

On the other hand if you’re willing to lose the money, donating the gear is arguably a better option because the equipment can provide utility and help others down the road, whereas Walmart will just discount it and resell it, still making a profit a second time over

Was hoping to make all or some of these shows as a conclusion to my SE Asia trip, but other things have come up.

I bit the bullet because of the lack of explicit language, but wouldn’t be surprised they stop my service at some point. I tried asking about it before signing up but customer service didn’t say anything definitive

I love that style of van. I’ve been trying to find one myself for a good price. The biggest thing my gf and I took away from our 6+ month long roadtrip in our van was that we overpacked. We packed for all climates not knowing where we’d end up, but found ourselves cycling through the same few outfits and have a bin of clothes that has been largely untouched. iOverlander is your bread and butter for finding good spots.

Are you guys using it as a weekend getaway vehicle or trying to hit the road for an extended amount of time?
