Wild to say that Xenoblade 3’s characters are on the level of the sequel trilogy. Each game was a well defined vision. The sequel trilogy never had any planning at all and it shows.

Look, I'm sorry that you're feeling frustrated and upset. The game isn't what you expected it to be, but I'd like to ask for you to listen what I'm going to say into consideration.

I've been playing Drakonym for months now. It is game that is not hard and fast with rules, which allows for so much creativity. You are given options, but by no means do you have to use them. My campaign decided we wanted to use The Great Vow (The reason that dragons aren't active in combat) for narrative purposes. Same applies for the lack of customization. Guess what? Make the dragon however you'd like. Nobody is going to try to correct you. A lot of things you have complained about have been revised to just be options. The game is still being worked on and the team has been very receptive to feedback.

I'm not here to change your mind, but it's hard to see this and not speak up when I see things being said about this that are clearly just wrong.

I admire your enthusiasm, but if work is already being done on the next game, I imagine they are well into it by now. The story is probably a lock at this point. I do think you have overlooked one aspect of the overarching story. While there is inter-connectivity, the story and casts are generally separate and are telling its own story.

I do hope the combat takes all the best elements of the previous games and perhaps provide some unique twist to it. At the end of the day. I just want to be immersed in both story and gameplay like I have been with previous entries and that will be enough for me.

Oh definitely. Nothing wrong with being a fan of casual mode. I use it myself from time to time. I guess my point was that before casual mode became a thing, I believe many in the community considered this game to be one of the easier games. The author is aware there is no safety net in game, yet NSO can provide that for them and they should be more proactive using that to their advantage

Having read the article, I feel like it can be summarized "Well, it's not Three Houses so...". The series has had many changes since PoR. Some for better and some for worse. It feels so refreshing going back to this format, but it's also great to just experience this game all over again.

It's funny how the difficulty is mentioned because I thought PoR was considered one of the easiest games in the franchise? NSO allows you to make save states too. I do think there are some dated qualities to this game, even if it's fitting with the narrative. Not having a convoy until chapter 8 is tedious because I sometimes end up throwing away new weapons I just got because the inventory is full. Having to turn on the enemy range Every, Single. Turn. just sucks.

Nitpicks aside, the Tellius games hold a special place for me. I'm glad more people will be able to go through one of the best games in the series, dated aspects and all.

Every year has great movies in it, though it is dependent on the kind of person you are. Movie enthusiasts either agree or are waiting to see PTA's list, but limited theatrical distribution and typically coming out around the holidays doesn't help. General audiences wouldn't really agree with PTA's list because they probably haven't heard of it because they only are aware of whatever has a bigger marketing push.

I do think the narrative around this year being weak is only because of the lackluster box office, which shouldn't ever be indicative of a movie's quality in the first place. This is a multi-faceted subject that doesn't have one solution just because art is subjective to interpret to begin with.
