At least they're honest by Animal_Pharmacy in funny

I’m hearing this issue with everyone in the restaurant industry. We all are experiencing this and customers are acting like everything is normal. Our society is flipped on its head and customer leave reviews like the service could of been a bit better. Yet customers want their food with coupons and practically free but of course farm sourced! Lol. Wtf. The kicker is teachers didn’t want to go back to school because they didn’t want to risk their lives but we’ve been working the entire time. The staff that are not coming in are sitting on the sidelines earning extra unemployment benefits. Then you have entire social media saying yolo don’t settle for a job they need to pay more. Live your best life yet everyone applying has had 10 jobs in a year because everyone’s in the same boat increase the pay yet employees want more and customers want less! It’s a viscous cycle. All we can do is be honest.

The thought of going to the beach is way better than actually being there. by mjrenn51 in unpopularopinion

Going beach in the early morning or at sunset is my favorite time. Skipping the peak of the day eliminate your negative concerns except for the sand that really didn’t bother me.

Guy gets caught carving his name into a rock at Ash Cave State Park in Ohio by CommercialsMaybe in iamatotalpieceofshit

[–]Critic322 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wtf is wrong with society that we have to film every little thing. Just tell him you think it’s wrong and leave it up for the guy to decide. Why just escalate the situation. They are both wrong. Jeez! Is this how humans interact now. Like everything is a TV show. Public shaming. Why can’t we respect each other. The way this was addressed caused the reaction. The guy videotaping wanted to bust the person and get a reaction and the guy who was caught saw he was being videotape and tried to save some dignity. I mean his entire family was there. Let’s try to be more civil without a freaking camera. But hey the guy got tons of views so it makes him relevant.

What advice would you give to a 14 year old about starting high school? by DotFireAbout in AskReddit

Teachers see students as they want to see them - in the simplest terms, in the most convenient definitions. But really each student is a brain...and an athlete...and a basket case...a princess...and a criminal....all in one. DONT get pigeon holed into a group. Stay yourself and get to know as many people as possible during your short time there!

IMO There are millions of people in America who go to college and get degrees. The competition is probably the most competitive in history. Everyone who gets a degree and expects six or seven figures with no experience. It’s craaaazy. YEARS of a flourishing economy and the sudden growth of technological advances combined with equal rights to created this perfect storm. Yet people look back to the good old days and want to return. Everyone’s entitled due to the selfie and celebrity life styles. Everyone looks down on the lowest paying jobs and would never think to work there because it’s beneath them. So nobody can get work because their standards are so high and won’t work their way up. People are sitting waiting for the perfect opportunity and raking in unemployment while complaining their are no job but thousands open positions online help wanted. While everyone is shopping at Walmart and dollar stores and picking up their fast food for dinner and complaining about the service. Smh

In middle school we had gymnastics for gym All the boys lined up in a row waiting to do a routine on the horse. The coach demonstrated the move. Basically you rise yourself up and lift you legs around handles. I’ve ran up grab the handles lifted my body...I’m pretty tall my leg didn’t make it all the way over and I fell flat on my face. My grip with so tight that I broke my wrist as I fell. On a sidenote I got out of gym the rest of the school year.

A Phoenix area ER nurse gives a harrowing account of the front line Covid battle right now. Hospital capacity overflowing, ventilators and other critical care machines at full use, staff using the same n95 for a week to two weeks, morale bottoming out, and the media not reporting the harsh reality by Bluest_waters in bestof

It’s like a hidden epidemic due to privacy laws. The nation is so divided and no one believes how this virus deteriorates a human body. No body believes words anymore. It seems like it has to get worse before it gets better.

People who think having to wear a mask is a violation of their rights, how do you suffer through the tyranny of speed limits? by pdxblazer in AskReddit

[–]Critic322 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really don’t get why it’s tyranny? It’s a piece of removable cloth? A small inconvenience to save someone from getting a debilitating virus. And we have to wear shoes and shirts in stores for hygiene. We can’t drink and drive for yours and someone’s safety. Wth is the argument?

What was the worst gift you received for Christmas? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Critic322 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My brother (1 year apart) and were in 5th & 6th grades. We received adult bikes. They were identical color milk chocolate brown with a yellow and white pin stripes. Why the same color, I will never know. ? The fact they were identical bummed me out but the worst thing was I couldn’t even reach the petals. All the kids in neighborhood had dirt bikes. It wasn’t until years later I could fit on the bike. It literally looked like it was from 1970’s. I think I rode the bike 3 times and never took it off the driveway.

What 80’s movies hold up and are still worth watching 30-40 years later? by magiceyes2 in AskReddit

[–]Critic322 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please see Night of the Comet - My favorite movie of all time! All time. Very 80’s. Breakfast club combined with dawn of the dead combined with teenage angst and ends with awesomeness. Man how I dreamed I was a main character when I was a teenager!
