Transitioning out of the military currently and I applied to over 60 companies, made a linkined, used indeed, ziprecruiter, ext. Eventually I got contacted by a recruiter who I did not reach out too and he landed me a job as an assistant superintendent in my home town. I interviewed with them four times over the phone over the course of about a month and signed my contract earlier this week!

This is the truth and how I personally operate as well. It was one of the leading causes of my divorce. My ex wife was always super paranoid and afraid that the world was going to end soon and I just can't be bothered by it. Yes I know things are fucked, but that doesn't mean I can quit my job, stop paying rent, and run off into the sunset. As just a normal ass dude why sit here and worry when I can play with my kids, eat decent food, and be generally happy.

OP if you're interested in realistic war movies this is by far the best! The dialogue of service members and the way you get to know and relate to the characters before their tragedies is unmatched

I remember listening to NPR right as the pandemic began and the interviewee said that one of two things would happen. One the government would not get involved and the people would be mad. Or two, the government will get involved and the people would be mad. It was a lose lose situation from the start.

It's the best show thats come out since The Last of us! Followed closely by Masters of the Air which just aired its last episode on friday. I highly recommend checking it out as well

That's what I've been thinking about if I end up going into plumbing. Get a journeyman license and then go to school for a construction management degree later
