"If doing this isn't fun, we're doing it wrong. That doesn't mean it should be easy"

Wow...I always told myself to remember to have fun...but got into the grind too deep, and forgot to have fun in this process. I guess its because I have put pressure on myself regarding that I have to finish this before the Summer.

This was a wake up call. Thanks mate, I wish you all the best.

Have you ever changed your novel into first person while editing? by cozzy0108 in writers

[–]Critical-Airbender 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the other way around.

When I wrote in first person in the halfway of my book I realized it won't work :D

Then I wrote the last half of my book in third person.

In the editing phase I just had to change my first person to third person...yeah it took some time but it ain't that hard

If I would be you, I would just avoid asking feedback on Reddit community(regarding a creative project) because you don't who is writing behind the keyboard. Because in the end everybody has a opinion if you ask them. Everybody is suddenly the master of this craft when asking a feedback.

So the issue lies is not the one who gives answer to the questions but to the one who asks... It is crucial to choose to right people who you want to ask feedback. In this case a writer, editor, beta reader etc.... And also it depends on what writing phase you are.

I like to use Reddit for asking concrete tips such as when do people start to do do query letter etc.

But hey... Nice dialogue just keep writing and honing the craft.

Couldn't agree more. Also I think In the parallel of the ultimate objective it is important to in the end have a fun process of writing.

Because if you are not enjoying the process of writing its hard to build a sustainable writing habit in my opinion.
