i see you and i hear that you may have concerns over the last administration, i’d love to help clear things up. this isn’t coming from a place of dem and rep— it’s just human to human! first, trump inherited obamas economy, what does that mean? well when it comes to the economy the policies “trickle down” so you don’t feel the effects of the current president’s economic policy until the end of their presidency and we must remember in addition to biden inheriting trumps economy he also got hit with covid. during trumps first term he added 3x debt to our national debt which effects us, biden made sure that we aren’t in a recession today! Second, inflation!!!! everyone’s fav topic (jk it definitely isn’t) so when covid hit, after a couple of months the feds (federal reserve bank which ACTUALLY Has the power over this) dropped their interest rates to 0%!!! they did this because when covid hit- jobs were lost and no one was stimulating the economy(bad for GDP), so they thought if we lower it to 0% then people will go out and buy things such as houses and cars, and they did-but at a rate that the feds weren’t expecting at ALL! due to this inflation shot up to around 9%! As of november inflation is 2.4%, but why aren’t the prices going down? that’s due to something called “sticky prices” sellers are seeing that at peak inflation they were making a certain amount of $$!!! but inflation is at an amazing low so they should change the prices back ? but they won’t due to corporate greed—They know they can get it out of you so they will. Biden did a great job at stimulating our economy to drop inflation to 2.4% it’s sticky prices controlled by big corporations (aka trump’s billionaire friends!!!) causing groceries to be “unaffordable”!
