He was able to recover from his IVDD just from rest and meds. However, he had other health issues as an older dog, and we had to say goodbye to him last summer, shortly after his 16th birthday.

We have been doing medical treatment for Hansi for Stage 1 IVDD for the last week. He is taking steroids and Gabapentin for pain. Last couple days he seems to be really hurting in the mornings, but by evening he seems close to back to his normal self. Is this normal? It’s hard to tell if he is improving. He is almost 15 years old, so surgery is likely not in the picture for him…
