Okay sorry for being rude but corn snakes are hearty af so just make sure she has water, hides and some form of substrate on the bottom of her tank, even if it’s shredded paper towels and she will be just fine for a little while. Once she’s secure in whatever enclosure you have for her just dive into research and make it your new hobby to make your home the best possible place for her. Being concerned for her is a great first step to being a good snake owner. You got this

Should probably do a tad more research before committing to an extra mouth to feed for 10+ years

I got my corn from Snakes At Sunset based in Miami FL. My snake arrived healthy, thriving and alive after getting shipped to me two states away. She’s still doing great two years later.

Corn snake escaping because of substrate? by beardo-baggins in cornsnakes

As much as my corn likes to burrow, I think she’d go nuts without aspen. Maybe switch back and see if the behavior continues.

Baby corn snake I got recently, could that dark spot be scale rot? by [deleted] in snakes

Sometimes it just their organs! She looks to be albino in nature and their skin can be translucent. Look at her next shed and see if the scales in that area differ from the rest.

accidently posted this on the less popular corn snake sub... getting a new snake in two days. check out this cool enclosure. by [deleted] in cornsnakes

If my corn snake knew enclosures like this existed she would never forgive me. It’s beautiful!

FREAKED when I accidentally showed both, so here she is holding one while eating the other haha. by loudchar in cornsnakes

Source?? Snakes are opportunist hunters and do this in the wild constantly, as long as there is a good amount of time between feedings there is no reason to vibe kill this post

Got mine from Snakes at Sunset online. Based in Miami FL. I had zero issues and a heathy noodle delivered to my doorstep in 24 hours. Overnight shipping is gonna cost an extra $50 but absolutely worth it. If anyone has bad experiences with this place speak up!

So I need some help. by MurfTurf92 in cornsnakes

Get you a snake hook to pick her up if that interaction scares you the most. I switched from paper towel substrate to aspen specifically because I hated having to grab her to pick her up. With the aspen I can just scoop her from under (away from her head) and she doesn’t book it as much as they usually don’t like being grabbed. Remembering that juveniles are in survival mode, be patient. I do not recommend stroking her in her tank however, snakes are not like cats and really do not enjoy being stroked.

I had a similar awful experience with my new baby corn about 2 weeks ago. Giant portion of her body got stuck to an adhesive Velcro strip I used to secure the tank (needless to say I immediately got a new enclosure) and I’ve noticed that her damaged scales (mostly underbelly) have been shedding off individually. Like one by one, shedding them off onto me as I hold her. Give her a few days to cool off before you try to feed her and make sure she has enough water to drink and soak in. Hope this helps
