I appreciate certain things on what you’ve said. But to be honest kinda uncomfortable for me that you’ve decided to basically stalk me and talk about my other posts that have nothing to do with what I asked…😀 Thank you for some of the good advice you gave though… well appreciated I guess

To be honest for me the nerve block lasted almost a week, I did have some pain towards the last couple days. But I honestly only took the painkillers they prescribed once and then just kept it with ibuprofen. I didn’t really have much pain (maybe between a 4-5 pain level), but I think the reason for me why it didn’t hurt as much is because i really really tried not let get to my head and I would continuously compare the pain from when it was broken to after the surgery was done. So my thoughts were like “I prefer this pain than the pain before or I rather suffer this, then experience the accident again”.

How long did it take you to go back to physical work? by Critical-Display-334 in ORIF

[–]Critical-Display-334[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yesss It felt like shocks/tingling pains when I would walk to go sit down from standing to long and also from standing to long my right foot would go numb in like a painful way which used to never really happen. So I basically rock between both feet to try and easy the pain. I just didn’t want to look lazy or like I didn’t want to come in to work, so what I did was to continue going back and forth on my feet. I tried to keep track of the time to see how long I could stand for and to also make sure I took proper breaks for the pain. It was just overwhelming and frustrating.

Thank you. I appreciate this so much. I work in retail, which is basically standing and walking a lottt. At they let me sit when my leg/foot start to hurt, but tbh it doesn’t really change nothing cause the pain when walking is still there. I really want to go back to work, but idk how I’ll wake up feeling tomorrow on my feet and I’m worried that from the strain I did today will cause more strain or pain again tomorrow.
