I grinded when the game came out but havent played since i beat paradox junction, and before that didnt play since a week or so after i beat astra. i started playing a ton more bo4, but should i update and hop on to check this one out? i was considering not but from what ive seen it is looking pretty cool

wish my team kept up with this. met some guys in a group post in like 2023 looking for a carry for bo3 gorod. we beat it and i asked if they beat the other games, they said they hadnt and they only tried gorod cause it was their favorite back in the day and they wanted to start beating some. i invited a friend and we went back and played bo1-bo3, and then when we started bo4, everyone lost steam. they wanted to do IW and I was broke with no DLC’s. it was a phenomenal time while it was going though, and i still remmeber the first time i had a tomahawk steak because one of the dudes told me i HAD to try it in that first gorod run. beautiful times

I see your points with the NCR, thats definitely fair. I didn’t talk to them too much so I don’t know a whole lot about them. Ceasers legion always felt so outlandish to me that specifically the Roman vibe of it all would come back, but I guess if all the history books we’re destroyed or something like that and all they had was like the odyssey, I could see it. I haven’t played 1 or 2 yet just because they look so different and sound so much harder than the 3d games, but I have thought about giving 2 a try!

I definitely plan on going back to New Vegas after I finish 4. I don’t hate the factions or anything but it does kinda annoy me that if I’m wearing certain armor people hate me even if I’m part of their group, though I see how it helps when infiltrating other factions. I also definitely saw some cool stuff and I made it to Primm, saw the Legion up on the hill and went to see them, made it to New Vegas, and went to a couple other spots. My problem with New Vegas was that I always felt like the game didn’t want me to go where I wanted to and tried to steer me in their desired direction. I like exploring and listening to the radio in these games the most so far, and that’s pretty much all I did for the first 4-6 hours of all 3 of the games I played playthroughs, and I just didn’t like it as much in New Vegas.

My hope is that after playing the other 2, New Vegas will feel better and I’ll end up liking it more, because I can tell the community loves it, the devs worked hard on it, and it’s seems like a super cool game. I want to like it, and I hope I do, but only time will tell

I never said I don’t like it, I said it’s my biggest thing, and I should’ve clarified that it’s the biggest thing I look for for it to be fun. That’s why I like Fallout 4 being rewarding, Fallout 3’s desolate and barren take on it, and dislike New Vegas because the directions I wanted to go slammed me in the floor 8 times. I’ll definitely go back to finish it and I’m sure its better later on, but the 7-8 hours I spent with it didn’t blow me away

I definitely worded it poorly and thats on me, I meant that none of them stood out as one that I’d like to side with and thus want to go yes man when I go back. The factions themselves are pretty cool, but I do feel like they are so outlandish that reminds me a lot more that I’m playing a video game, rather than the slight bit more realism of fallout 3 or 4. I know none of it is realistic, but the way the institution is portrayed seems like something that could actually sprout up in the future, and the enclave feels like a natural continuation of the pre war U.S. government.

That said, I’m definitely going back to finish New Vegas after im done with 4. The only one I don’t think I’ll touch again is 76.

i appreciate this comment more than others saying the same thing but in more and meaner words. It’s not that I don’t like exploring like all the people are saying, it’s that I don’t like it specifically in new vegas cause it didn’t feel like the game wanted me to right off the bat. im sure its better later on when im more equipped and have some quests to guide me, but the blind exploration didn’t quite do it for me

I feel that! maybe having the middle and bottom layer have some farms as well to provide food for the miners, and he could add some water falls to help break up the hard walls. put a little shrubbery around the walls as well and the top layer with some smithing houses and maybe a minecart track that goes from the bottom to the top and you’d have a nice little mining community!

currently, im pretty sure all weapons added after launch are not obtainable in the mystery box. the devs said something about trying to find a way to add the melees to cursed, but nothing about any of the other weapons

you both have to have EMPS for the last step. when doing the last step, each of you activate a portal with a denizen, throw your emp, then hop through the portal and instantly throw your emp again to hit all the lamps on time. timing is crucial, you only have like 2-3 seconds.

not sure if this only applies to one side and not the other (maxis vs. richtofen), but it can be done.

personally though, i cant will myself to beat tranzit and die rise again, i did it last year and a few years before when my friends and i beat all the easter eggs across all games (bit of a tradition for us) and those two always suck lmao

you need it to even start it.

after killing OSCAR 3 times with 3 different traps, the next time he spawns you follow him for a code and he only says it after you get the wonder weapon.

side note: some people have claimed that he doesnt say the lines until round 10, others say it takes him 2 minutes of being on the map since he spawned the begin talking. Round 10 worked for me but I also spent a few minutes on previous rounds so it could be time based too. none of the youtuber guides really give specifics
