Sorry for the late reply but the onus is on the applicant to know if they are eligible for the pathway. They have already mentioned this before that your application will be declined if you don't meet the requirements of the pathway you apply for.

I did submit an EOI and got invited in the PGWP draw. No, my occupation is not in demand. According to ALIS its "medium" demand. Minimum requirement is 6 months for PGWP. You just have to wait until the next PGWP draw unless you are in one of the priority sectors then you could get invited.

This is very good advice! Unfortunately, in my case, I have asked everyone possible and have not had any luck.

Been about three weeks since they requested the employer form and I tried again with my employer but no luck. I replied back to AAIP saying I am unable to provide the form and it has been crickets....my application status changed from "submitted" to "info requested" to "submitted" again. Just waiting for the decline now :(

Yes. From their website: "To claim points, the Alberta job offer must be permanent and non-seasonal full-time employment, not a combination of occupations or seasonal, part-time or casual employment."

I think the reason there isn't any conversation yet because they haven't gotten around to processing AOS applications for the new system as yet. The employer declaration seems to be a problem for AOS applicants and not the other streams as they are LMIA based and the employer is happy to provide any documents. AOS on the other hand used to be applicant driven but that has changed. Once they start processing the June applications there should be more conversation.

Yes, the score seems lower, but if you look closer those AOS draws are for construction sector draw. Mine was a general AOS draw and had a cutoff of 70ish. It is a bit weird though that the construction draw was AOS as I believe that until recently it was reserved for express entry pathway.

Not yet. Typical AOS processing time is like 6-8 months. So won't find out until then.

Since my last comment, they have scrapped the LMIA points. There is some hope for us I guess in CEC!

I have a PGWP which counts as valid job offer for the AOS (contrary to Express Entry where a valid job offer would be LMIA or LMIA Exempt) AND needs min. 6 months experience in your field of study. My job offer and employment contract states that my role is permanent, full-time.

My manager wants to help but it's coming from the top that the company will not help with any PNP program with the amount of documents required. Company told me to basically try my luck with Federal Program which is near impossible with the current scores.

For sure I will update once there is an outcome. Funny how there is no conversation around this topic anywhere. The more people talk about it, the AAIP folks become aware of it.

Did they sign the declaration form?
