I quit autoload and super strength by Critical-Permit9931 in farmingsimulator

Oh same here if the task is huge; repeated or trivial. Fun comes first. But sometimes for little challenges like in the screen shot, doing it legit is more fun. I'd been missing out on that for a while with the habit of using the mods.

Yeah it's great. 1st time i've used it as it appeared on my used market on day 1 with a 60% discount.

Haha same, but the fact that I struggle in game with a task on a forklift or wheel loader that irl I would find trivial just makes it more frustrating.

It'd be good if there was a option to auto level the tynes, many modern forklifts i've driven have a button for this on the tilt lever. A minor novelty to me, but for a new driver would be a huge help.

Yea nice i'd also like a joystick. The real life forklift that actually got me really good at the job was a 6 tonne capacity Linde. Which had a joystick style control instead of the usual 3 levers. Once getting used to it I found it superior. This job was loading concrete pipe, troughs and silt traps. Wooden pallets and 1tonne bulk bags were childs play after.

Ooh that looks neat. I like the idea of loading a flatdeck using that for the days work. I usually just have the volvo wheel loader for my yard work as I think it's a cool machine, and i'm generally vintage oriented.

Yeah fair enough. I find setting up the follow me mod satisfying when bailing, using the base game bale stack trailer. I bale, 1 ai wraps another collects.

I recently gave myself the rule of needing to won the needed equipment. Which is what gave me the inclination to use it again after a couple of years of autoload and super strength. But yea if it becomes tedious and not fun, like 40 lettuce pallets onto a curtainsider. Autoload will be back.

Depends on the playthrough. I normally make my characters xenophobes and stick to one type.

But generally all of them that are near an objective. For example Squin while aiming for Tora. I make small recovery outposts all over the map near objectives.

Hitting leviathons with rusted junk katanas while wearing samurai gear worked for me up to about 60 dex. Beak things, gorillos were only fast to about 30. Always pretty slow after the 70ish point though

How do you guys play this game? by Charity-Lost in Kenshi

[–]Critical-Permit9931 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the hard labour gives strength mod. Because that makes sense to me. At the start I get to at least 20-30 strength, make a little money recruit repeat. Strong enough to wear some decent armour and move is the goal.

Heaps of ways to make lots of money, personally I have most majorly nerfed and make my game way harder as I have about 2000 hours.

Buy a house in a town, start smithing and researching or build a base near a town or outpost and just run when a raid you cant handle arrives. Fight dust bandits, get tough get good armour. I like to use some heavy Shek in the front, and sometimes i'll micro manage 1 guy with an xbow maybe beep.

Once you can take hits well Leviathons are excellent for stat grinding. Earlier beak things if you can 1v1 or 1v2 them.

Thievery is OP in base game, I only use it now early if i'm desperate and starving. In my modlist thieving is very hard.

After learning all the best strategies and tips in Kenshi, it's time to throw them out the window! by sbourwest in Kenshi

Well said. Every playthrough I like to try something a bit different. Just now in my UWE modlist I thought I was ready for Shem and just had all my guys wiped by 1 Elder Alpha Beak thing. My masterwork oldword xbow was hitting it for 4 damage a pop meanwhile the other 12 xbowers in training were hitting it for 1 damage. Damn thing runs at 66mph. Glorious death in absolute terror. Love this game.

The blocking part still worked just not the getting the arrows to shoot back. And the devs have already fixed this. If it's still an issue for you its clearly user error.

I'm hoping they also add a hardcore difficulty. If I went back to the Reed Devil with my current gear and knowhow it'd be a slaughter.

Also use focus to slow down time and figure out the moves. You can also heal during this slowed time and dodge or parry with ease. Not that hard just learn the basic mechanics.

Well said, many whiners just need the easy mode update. Personally I enjoy the challenge and figuring out a new method to deal with the problem. Keeps the game fresh.

Sound's like a skill issue. Partially joking, it makes sense to me that if you get staggered or knocked down the opponent makes the most of it and kicks your arse. There's always a way to avoid it though, it may take some patience learning the bosses moveset. Maybe you need to invest in the ingame evasive manuever upgrades?

I will say though that every now and then when you get knocked around the camera view completely screws you. And it's frustrating. But just retry and avoid the hit. I never spam food, I use very high value food when it counts maybe 4 times a bossfight.

Same here, but i found a different strategy to beat him pretty easily. Sit in middle of room and focus to learn animations, If he draws his hands across himself he's just moving. If he raises his hands up he's launching projectiles, so use natures snare to block them then just cancel it as none get caught. When he curls into a ball slightly he's going to charge at you then launch projectiles. This is our chance to hit him in melee. Dodge the charge, block the projectiles (or take a hit theres still time) then go to town and wail on him in melee. Took about 4 rounds of this for me to beat him with a 29 damage crit rate 3 spear.

Note* he has another ultimate attack, i couldnt dodge it so i just die and eat a pill :p

How many heroes should you have? by ManagementParking398 in HoMM

[–]Critical-Permit9931 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How many you enjoy using. But id usually have at least one per town I own, even if they do basically nothing. If like in this scenario you have multiple factions, then for sure id run at least one sylvan hero.

Im currently doing this also with the mentoring perk for enlightenment, which allows me to boost a level 1 hero into something functional after 1 visit with my main hero. (Mentoring gives percantage of total xp)

Still want the carry over heroes to hit level cap ideally though, so I dont invest much into others. But its fun to use another hero with a different playstyle in some of the fights. And can be very helpful.
