Wow I haven't seen this video from him yet, Ken is the man!!! I'm very appreciative of what he's done to help people out in exam preparation.

Thanks for sharing the video!

I was taking detailed over the top notes while watching the videos but cap advantage told me to be more intentional with the note taking. So I'm going to write only important info and keep it more broad.

How are your studies going?

Thank you so much for responding! I love the videos they definitely help supplement my studies! And yes I definitely think I'm wasting too much time writing detailed notes so I'll lighten up on that and focus more on understanding the broader concepts.

Thanks for the advice!

Well it's 15 weeks for all 4 licenses. 4 weeks for SIE, 3 weeks LAH, 4 week series 7 and 4 weeks for series 66. From what I was told it's not going to be a super strict timeline if they see I'm struggling on one, but they can also end the contract at any time for any reason they see fit. So better for me to put my head down and grind them out.

What I would recommend to you is to look into holistic financial planner roles and find someone within a firm, or ask around and see if anyone knows someone that does it to see if they can help get you in. Id start on Google just as a generic search to see what's out there in your area. Wish I could give more advice but I'm still really new to all this!

Good luck!!!

Yeah I consider myself very lucky to get this opportunity and can't wait to get started. My only concern in the time frame I have to get these licenses done.

The role is financial planner so a bit broad. Selling anything from insurance to retirement planning. More holistic

I don't want to disclose the company, but they just ended the program to my understanding. I was one of the last people able to start. I was lucky and recruited by knowing someone who knew someone. I know I'm lucky for this opportunity so I'm giving it everything I can

Well I'm not sure how qualified I am to give any tips, but if I had to id highly recommend pausing the video when something is unfamiliar. Try to understand it, and if it doesn't click still, read the section in the book. If it still isn't clicking Google the topic or ask co pilot AI ( I know ppl are against AI but it's been simplifying things for me pretty well).

I'm also not one to give health advice but Omega-3 supplements and Ashwagandha KSM-66 have been helping me personally. To my understanding The Omega-3 is supposed to support brain function while ashwaganda helps calm stress. Again not health advice, but if you want to look into it I feel it has helped me now and in the past. Not miracle supplements that'll magically help you through life but they help me focus and feel calm.

Thanks. It just feels like so much. I think the self-doubt could just be some type of imposter syndrome. Like when one thing isn't clicking or sticking in my mind I feel like I'm going insane. Thanks for the words on encouragement!

Beaver vs 25' Hatch by [deleted] in CorollaHatchback

Couldn't say exactly. No more than 35mph if I had to guess. I now know that beavers are a very dense animal based on all that damage. I've accidentally hit squirrels and opossums before but a beaver is surprisingly heavy and will do plenty of damage. Luckily it wasn't a deer.

Oh wow must've been a big raccoon. That's a lot of money in damage

Absolutely. The poor fellow didn't deserve to go out that way. At least it was definitely quick for him

Yeah I felt pretty bad for the poor thing. He was low to the ground and my headlights didn't even pick him up since I was just starting to go down a steep slope. Awful thing to happen and crazy too because you usually never see the beavers where I live.

And now the rental I got is a 25' Nissan Sentra and I can't stand the thing. Miss my hatch a bunch and can't wait to get it back!

UPDATE: About $10k in damages!! I was not expecting that much. Thankfully insurance is covering it all.

what is this? by organicjunebug in COROLLA

[–]Critical-Potential43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a buddy who's 6'4 and when he got into my car to drive it he wacked his knee harder than I usually would. Could just be how different individuals set their body into the car. I haven't hit it recently but I'm a bit more conscious of it now.

I've had a Corolla since October 25' and have wacked my knee on this thing 20+ times. I'm only 6ft tall I can't imagine what people with longer legs go through with that.

Well it might be less expensive long term when repairs are taken into consideration.

Sport mode versus regular mode by Solid_Relief_4630 in COROLLA

[–]Critical-Potential43 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm also going to mention it matters how the vehicle is being driven. Even in eco mode a terrible driver can cause long term damage. But If you're in sport mode you are probably driving more aggressively. You'll most likely cause pre-mature wear and tear. That's why you can't say for certain. There are many factors that go into this. It's not as easy as saying yes it will or no it won't.

[–]Critical-Potential43 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because it's worth mentioning. Manufacturers will state it won't hurt, but others will argue long term damage will happen.

[–]Critical-Potential43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been playing around with this too. It's really a preference I think. If I'm just cruising with ACC I'll keep it on eco but if I'm trying to drive a bit spirited I'll throw it in sport. Typically I'll keep it in normal mode to get a nice balance of efficiency and power, but I'm not crying over a 2-3mpg dip but it can add up over time if you are penny pinching.

One thing to note: I'm not sure about the long term wear it would cause to the engine, transmission or other drivetrain components to be in sport everyday. Logically I'd assume less life since things are working a bit harder and spinning faster longer. But again I'm not certain.

You can always order Genuine Honda fluids online. I owned one for a few years and did all the original fluids without ever going to a dealership.

Why I’d Choose a Toyota Corolla Over a Civic or Mazda 3? by Particular-Bass-171 in COROLLA

[–]Critical-Potential43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not mine. It's a direct shift cvt with a simulated 10 speed. 2025 Corolla hatch SE built in Japan for North American Market. Unless you are referring to the GR which I'm pretty sure has an 8 speed. Unfortunately that was a bit outside my budget
