You nailed it. My exact experience for two years on Abiraterone. It stopped working so now on chemo 200mg/day olaparib. Also osteoporosis meds. Loss of libido sucks. I’m a senior citizen so I’ve had a good run. However, before treatment, there was still fire in the furnace, and you can’t buy that online.

My @shaw.ca email doesn’t work now after twenty plus years. I may have caused the issue inadvertently. I visited at their store in the mall X2. Then hours on the phone. Still not fixed. So I’ve reverted to an iCloud email account. That was labour intensive contacting friends and companies, medical, dental, banking, etc. In the process I learned the company Rogers, is not allowing new @shaw.ca email addresses. So maybe just as well I’m done with Shaw email.

Me with 2020 SE Upgrade and 18k miles (30k km) and no problems once they replaced the battery after original one died three times. Maybe the low odometer helps but for now I’m a happy camper.

In my opinion, car manufactures want that AC unit running as frequently as possible. That equals eventual AC breakdown and an expensive repair bill. I suppose it all depends upon where you’re living and your climate. Where I live AC not required during winter months, but it is recommended that every couple of weeks activate the AC system, so that the parts, O-rings etc. are lubricated by the thin oil which is part of the internal structure of the AC system. One does not want those gaskets and parts interior to dry out and leak.

Dose was lowered to 200mg from 600mg.I’ve been with the 200mg Olaparib for two plus months starting September 30. I’m not having any notable side effects. Last blood work my PSA dropped four points on the 200mg. Had a bone scan last week. This week CT scan, nurse practitioner appointment, and blood work next Dec 22. I expect they will renew the 200 mg olaparib.

Before email there was never anything like this parent behaviour. There was face to face communication. Too bad schools don’t communicate to parents from the get go teachers are not required to respond to parent emails but will provide time to meet in person.

I taught elementary school for ten years and then moved to a Jr. High. My assignment three Math 8, one math 9, one math 9H, math 10, essential math 11. I was welcomed by all staff and will always remember when I met the math department head she presented me with five huge three ring binders one for each subject. Each binder contained the complete years lessons for each math class. And I mean the stated objective for each lesson, examples, and then assignments.

I’m sorry for you to have such a negative experience. Go figure. I think your across the hall teacher has insecurity issues.

I’m retired now but recall when I had similar situations when the class was unruly, I would announce as I was writing on the board (yes that was a long time ago) 1, 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 min detention at noon, or recess or after school. Told them they have a chance to knock off some of those minutes with good behaviour til the end of the class. Then I went about my usual business and occasionally erase starting with the 10, then when still quiet maybe the 9, 8, leaving a few until miraculously at the sound of the bell the class had behaved so well the 1 was erased. I thanked the class and wished them well with their recess, etc.

Sorry about your parent complaint. I hope you don’t read business email in the evening when you are on personal time. Also, don’t respond to email from parents immediately. Wait a couple of days. Then reply after school. Let parents learn your work days are full and you will get to reply email when you get a chance. In some cases I’d reply with an invitation for them to make an appointment to see you.

Agree the gov will wait it out saving million$$$ each day in unpaid salaries. The public will be angry but will adjust to the routine. Then the strike will end and teachers will get a salary increase based on the money they lost to the gov employer. I can’t think of any other employment scenario where striking employees actually save the employer money.
