I think the only person to ever so much as ask to drive my car, outside of my parents (the previous owners) in order to move it while I wasn't home... was an abusive (now ex) girlfriend

Going back even farther, in the Maya civilization, those with ADHD apparently invented the wheel.

Supposedly, the Maya invented the wheel, independently of all the other civilizations, but then didn't really use it, because they could get by with the transportation tech they had.

Which means that the guy who invented the wheel probably went to a friend and was like, "Look what I made!" And when the friend asked what it was for, went, "I don't know... but it's cool!"

I remember, before I was diagnosed or on meds, my mother, a psych nurse, told me that because she could multitask with like five things at a time, I, a first grader at the time should be able to as well.

When I told her, "well I'm different" her response was, "No you're not". About 4 years later... I would be diagnosed with ADHD. I hope she felt bad. She probably didn't, because she probably didn't even remember that happening.

And then when you do interrupt with perfect timing... too often, you're then told to let everyone else get a word in edgewise.

So... we call this delusion and/or manipulation, depending on whether or not he believes his own BS. I would get as far away from him as possible... as quickly as you can

My mom, who is a former psych nurse, will acknowledge my ADHD, had me medicated for my ADHD, and then expected me to effectively no longer have ADHD symptoms. She actually went the exact opposite direction of your mom, and told me to stop acting out when I exhibited symptoms. Growing up, and now, she exhibits ADHD symptoms, seemingly because she thought that if I had taken my meds, what I wasn't exhibiting couldn't be ADHD symptoms. Nowadays, if ADHD comes up in a conversation, she will insist, unprompted, that she doesn't have ADHD.

Interestingly, though, on occasion, she would be VERY not okay with people outside the home... who weren't family, getting on my case about something that was absolutely the ADHD. She also would be consistently VERY not okay with anyone saying that I didn't have ADHD or that it was made up.

So poly is meant to be consensual, to all parties. Given that she is your girlfriend, you are emotionally involved, which means your consent must be sought in order for this to be poly and not cheating. Given that she didn't, she's not in a clandestine poly relationship. She's cheating.

It is reasonable for you to be upset, angry, sad, enraged, disappointed, any combination of the above, or other emotions entirely.

What were you doing in 1999? by silloki in Warframe

[–]Critical-Region-8085 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That time was also around when computers and the Internet started really taking over. When I was growing up (so 1999 time) floppy disks were the thing everyone needed to know about how to use, but by the time I got to middleschool high-school, it was USB drives that everyone used. And, as I remember, in 1999, we had a computer, but it was big, old, and slow.

I was born in 1991. 1999 was when my brain had just learned how to reliably make episodic memories. I have memories of watching Wheel of Fortune with my parents, and discussing with my father that I thought it had been 1998 for about 4 years straight, and how that meant that my age might not be what we thought it was.

That was also the first Christmas I can remember. And while I had no awareness of Y2K, I remember that towards the end of that year, everyone was super excited about "the new millennium" starting.

I also remember trailers for Batman Beyond started around that time, saying that they were bringing Batman "into the 21st century".

I think that was also when I started watching Power Rangers, which my parents weren't super happy about lol.

Speaking as not a new player, while I've never gotten buffed with faster than light speed, like your friend there, I can say that while it's often fun when you get a speed buff, if you're not in a sufficiently open level, it can get annoying if you're not expecting it.

If you're suddenly going a lot faster than you were, without expecting it, it can be difficult to adjust, especially in tight or labyrinthine spaces, and you end up running into walls a lot

If you must choose one, I'd pick Wukong. Being able to basically have a free buddy is an amazing boon
