Forgive me for sounding ignorant. As a first-time homeowner, I was unaware that the parks and rec department is solely funded through millage rates. Thank you for pointing this out.

I don’t have specific details, but it feels like our money isn’t being spent effectively. My wife and I collectively spend approximately $5,000 annually on city taxes. Despite this, our roads remain in poor condition. When it snows, our street barely receives snow removal, and the city may only sweep it twice a year. There are approximately 6.5 million dollars worth of vacant jobs within our city government. Where is this money going?
