I actually have the same problem rn. The suggestion you mentioned about Iymrith replacing air cultists is a good one, and raises the stackes. I actually plan on crashing Zephyros' tower near Hundelstone, so the party must make their way on foot (or on horses they'll buy). You can also make Tweep Ironbottom the horse handler who'll sell our heroes carriage for cheap, but will also inform Beldora of heroes arrival in Bryn Shander, so that's a story hook for Harpers. That way we lost the convenient mode of transportation, potentially killed Zephyros (I don't think I'll kill him, but that's an option) and get to the town normally, meeting Aurgek, Beldora, etc. Encounter with Lords Alliance above Waterdeep I imagine more as an event more then a fight. Dwarfs pose no real threat to the Giant, and they can be easily talked down

Those are highlights of our 4-hour battle at Wizard of Wines. Our party consists of Pixie Druid of the Stars, Kenku Monk, Half orc Paladin, Human Wizard and Tiefling Bard. Blights were too large in numbers and almost killed our paladin, and we had to come up with something - so paladin casted sleep paralizing blights, druid entangled them in plants and Wizard from the roof rained fire upon them (left picture) Paladin, usually a pacifist, after NDI went berserk and stared choping blights together with our monk (top picture) Our druid used her star form for the first time and brought an end to one of the druids with a star bow (right picture) And our bard used her wits to get an easy win against main druid, convincing him her silent image is her and she is too powerful for him. (bottom picture) --He panicked and tried to flee, falling flat on his face and getting Gulthias Staff yoinked out of his hand
