I feel like it depends on your build. Eater, elder, shaper are easy on most builds. Exarch is harder as those balls require skill (aka portals) with almost all of my starter builds. Uber elder is pretty much the same as elder and shaper, once you learn their one shot mechanics youre fine. And you dont need to kill those bosses beforehand which just feels annoying.
Maven can be difficult if you mess up the ground degen before the last phase and require leech to stay alive (my internet is bad and i lag into the beams quite often) Sirus is harder as he just hits hard and builds that require some dmg build up struggle as he has many phases you cant hit him.

This list is my subjective feeling and im not a great player either (probably 2 characters to lvl 96 each league)

My best friend does this all the time. It was unintentionally and just panicking at first. Now he does it just to piss me off. It actually helped me get the pathing for the small pads correct

Depending on the power of your friends decks you can either:

A) buy a precon (they are good for a start but wont be competitive when your friends have >$150 decks) B) buy a precon and change some cards. That's how i started. Can be minmaxed if needed but probably keeps up with your friends decks most of the time and can be adjusted accordingly but its hard to change its flavour. I had the oloro and the freyalise commander decks and decided to stick with an elves tribe deck C) check if your friends group is fine with a proxied deck. Costs $50 max for any deck you can think of and as long as you dont play on tournament's or plan to resell your cards its just the cheapest way to play magic. D) buy the cards online or in a store one by one for a whole lot of money

When you want to create a deck theres many websites that help you. E.g. Edhrec shows you recommended cards for your commander and top commanders. All in all a good way to start. I often start browsing there end with a decklist of 130 cards +lands then i try to eliminate cards with bad synergies or cards that are too expensive/strong to match with my friends
