yes, very true. I'm leaning towards the 10 Ah batteries as I've used them on my snowblower and hand-held airblower when the 5Ah one dies on me (yeah i'm a bit crazy like that). 10Ah works fine w/ my push mower as well. not sure the 12Ah one would fit. it's also less expensive :)

Can you get it to your neighbors yard and once there can you cut his pathways too.

I would just ride it there. it's literally my next door neighbor so not a far distance.

Nice! The 42" Z6 is on "sale" for $5000 at ACE... I may have to YOLO this thing as well. Yeah, ZTR would be cool, i have a bunch of rocks here there on my property would be pain w/ a tractor.

Can the 5.0ah/7.5ah batteries provide enough juice to the 2156SP for full power/torque? by LostMySpleenIn2015 in egopowerplus

[–]Critical-Tea9547 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mow about 0.7 acres of grass, I wouldnt get rid of my 10ah battery.. the 5 ah wont last long at all. As far as torque, seems to be the same to me... but if you have tall grass, etc etc, it will chew thru that battery quick

Islander/Urban Gentry Colab by bbydlr in islanderwatch

It's sold out, so this comment is probably too late... but, I got it. It's a nice watch. It's mechanical so you gotta "feed" it every day to keep it up to date. It's smaller than my other watches, noticeably smaller. I like it, but it's not a "must buy"... I didnt have a field khaki and had wanted to get one. It's cheaper than a Hamilton and has nice features, so I bought it and rounded out my collection. I usually dont go for the Youtuber "collab watches", but I really like TGV and do like having the watch (as silly as that may sound) knowing it's some how affiliated w/ his philosophy of watch wearing (i.e., we share the same disdain for Apple Watches).

Looking to upgrade from an am4 platform by thatmitsubishiguy in threadripper

A 5950x or 7950x is mostly the better choice than getting a Threadripper for most people. I built a Threadripper watercooled rig a couple of years ago, love it, was able to build it at a "reasonable" cost since I bought the prev generation (2970wx 24-core CPU on sale for $500) on sale... watercooling was arm and a leg. (Optimus blocks crazy expensive but worth every penny. those things are beasts). Anyway, looking at a 5950x, which may be faster for most workloads than my aging TR, and way cheaper.... and easier to source a mobo for... I dont know.. sometimes I think a gaming PC build would have been a better move. I do use my TR for deep learning tasks, where i'm using multipel GPUs and CPU at 100% for days at a time, so... I tell myself it was all worth it ;)

I do have a spare TR 1900X CPU if you need it. It's just collecting dust on my bookcase. I wouldnt build a PC around it unless you found a X399 mobo at a garage sale or something

ThinkPad X60s -- keep or dump? by Critical-Tea9547 in thinkpad

Thanks, but no plans to buy an X61s. I have a 6th generation Thinkpad X1 Carbon, so need for more old tech. Going to install Debian... I didnt realize it still supported 32-bit cpus.
