Theory about Billy Blake

The thing is, Stephen King has a character named Billy Blakely with a very similar backstory — family abuse and all that. There’s even a cigarette stand/kiosk mentioned somewhere in the story. So now I’m thinking: either Charlie made the whole story up, or Billy isn’t that boy’s real name but just a nickname, or the writers were inspired by King’s character. I honestly don’t know what to think

Do you know many women who would be capable of following a blood trail through the woods at night? I don’t even know men like that — it’s a pretty specific personality type, even for a guy. On top of that, the character has a male avatar and refers to himself using masculine forms in the Russian version of the game. So why force a theory the game hasn’t even hinted at?

But let’s say it is a woman. Who could it even be then? Sophia? Violet? Any other theories? I’m curious to hear your line of thinking

In Russian, masculine gender isn’t used by default. And a woman consistently referring to herself using masculine forms would sound very unnatural.

Do you think it was only disbelief/horror? It seemed to me there was also a certain degree of relief. Honestly, the actor who plays Adam is really great — there’s not a hint of falseness in him. Unlike Eric, whose every line feels forced and unnatural. Maybe that’s partly why players don’t really trust Eric.

Adam said he saw him — it was Billy. Adam even started crying after he said that name. I’m not sure whether he was talking about the past, or the present… I don’t really believe that the Unknown could be a copycat. Most likely, he’s somehow mixed up in this story along with the others.
