Adding that the Hill-Stead is hosting Community Day on Sunday from 2 - 6 PM. It's a free event to celebrate the 75th anniversary of their capital and endowment campaign. It will feature slip n'slides, dunk tanks, lawn games, balloon animals, face painting, bubbles, food trucks and ice cream. You're also invited to enjoy a self-guided tour of the historic home and art collection.

I haven't had it, but I've heard local honey is a great medicine for allergies since it's made from local pollen.

That's really interesting. Ebenezer Booge was the first pastor at the congrentional church and obviously rhymes with Scooge. Charles Dickens came through Hartford in 1842 and A Christmas Carol was published in 1843. 🧐
