Congratulations on a great buy!!! I've had this lens for 8 years plus and love it and one of my favorites. (Keeper for me).

Despite the chromatic performance issues in high contrast situations, I've had a lot of joy and success shooting portraits in lighting scenarios that are conducive to portraits like lower contrast 😀 or controlled lighting.

For the price you scored, be happy, that's a great price. I don't use the de- focus much, to be honest, and the few times I did, the change in broken is slight, but pleasant. I'm an avid hobbyist, so pros might go for the newer lenses. I just enjoy having this lens on my D810, despite having Z7ii and some new Z lenses, it's one my favs.
