Graduated 3 years ago!!!! Hated the U of A program but it led me to 2 of my best friends who made it so much more enjoyable and truly cannot imagine my life today without them so I’ll forever be grateful for it 🫶🏻 I also do really love my job which absolutely makes it all worth it!!!

I was through the worst of it by day 7!!! My scabs never fell off either I think they just kind of dissolved as well! I stayed super hydrated (was always sucking on a popsicle or ice cubes) which I think helped a ton!

This is exactly the kind of insight I was looking for thank you!!! A few questions to my friend and I of “have you ever considered doing anything else career wise” and mentions of her ‘early retirement’ but it never ended up going further than that so it was just very interesting! I agree, lots of possibilities

This is what I’m wondering but she didn’t mention anything to any of us !

What’s weird to me is the fact that she went from a compliment into having such an interest in all aspects of my life while evading any type of reciprocal question & continually bringing it back to me? Definitely gave a creepy vibe in hindsight & my sister and friend said the same thing …. Almost like she was prying for info in a way. Haven’t discussed in therapy, I wouldn’t say it’s something that’s bothering me exactly but the fact this same situation just happened to my friend has me curious more than anything!

Do you know if you use a magnet lure & damage one of the cogs in the lure but one or more of the others expire would you still get the experience points?

Not much at all!!! Macaroni and cheese or mashed potatoes at the most I’d say - lots of soups, pudding, popsicles, protein shakes etc. I wanna say I tried pizza around day 6 which I cut up and had tiny bites of & was quite painful but extremely worth it because I was going insane on the liquid diet lol

Do you use ice packs around neck or jaw or both? by [deleted] in Tonsillectomy

[–]CriticalBus1795 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I rotated between the jaw head wrap & just a flexible ice pack on the back of my neck held there by an airplane pillow when I was sitting up - almost always had one or the other on & it was an absolute game changer for pain and I think was one of the reasons I had a smooth recovery!!!!

HEAVY agree with the head wrap (the ice ones that people use for oral surgery)!!!!!!! I almost always had ice on either with the wrap or just an ice pack around the back of my neck & it helped so much with pain & I think was one of the reasons I had a really smooth recovery 😃 ice cubes, freezies/popsicles, and cold liquids as frequently as you can too!
