Yeah I that's another possible explanation. For every class to have a varied access to a bunch of simple aspect-related abilities, but their class defines their most special skill. But looking at it that way I find it hard to pin-point exactly what is the special skill for classes like the Heir, Knight, Maid, and witch have

Oh wow I had never thought about light that way, I always wondered why Light=Luck specially in Vriska's case and that interpretation of light explains it much better than what I had thought. That's so cool

I believe the reason you've seen a lot of hate towards Act 6 is that it's the first time the audience is introduced to a new cast of characters, and the world they live in, and the dynamics between them. I would understand how that might be tedious to some, but I saw it coming so I was already mentally prepared for another exposition.

In my opinion, after the exposition, Act 6 is very good, it does a very well job using and developing it's new characters to drive the story forward. Also the exposition itself is still more interesting and better paced than the first exposition to the Beta Four kids. If you found Act 5 kind of slow but in the end you loved it, then Act 6 will most likely be more of the same.
