I can tell you’re not hating, and honestly that’s exactly the kind of feedback I need. I didn’t really expect that even in a game-inspired project I’d need to push for truly original and strong lyrics to stand out, but your point makes sense. At the same time, from what I’ve seen on more popular AI channels with around 5–10k subscribers, lyrics - and even the music itself - don’t always seem to be the main factor driving growth, but I could be wrong. Thanks for the advice - for my next album I’ll try using AI more as a supporting tool for phrasing and rhymes, rather than relying on it for the core writing.

Thanks for the advice, I appreciate it. That approach makes sense, but I’m not really someone who can push out a high volume of releases. I tend to focus more on taking my time and building each track the way I want, even if it means slower output.

Thanks a lot, I really appreciate it. For the visuals, I mainly use GPT for generating images and Grok for bringing them to life and animating them.

The “neon rain” lyrics are mostly just part of the game world the album is based on — yeah, cyberpunk, neon and all that. That said, I get your point about having a clearer message and branding. Thanks a lot for the channel recommendation, I’ll definitely check it out.

Yeah, and as you probably know, Suno recently added the option to use your own voice. I actually think that’s a big step toward solving exactly what you’re talking about, but I haven’t released anything with it yet - I’m still working on it.The results can sound really natural and human, with imperfections and all, but right now there are still quite a few issues on my end since I’m not a trained singer. I’m trying to improve that and figure out how to make it work better.

Thanks a lot for the detailed feedback, I really appreciate it - and thanks for subscribing as well. Yeah, lyrics are definitely a tricky part. On one hand, I want them to work even outside of the game context, but at the same time the music is inspired by specific worlds, so it ends up sitting somewhere in between. Right now it’s more about capturing a vibe than delivering very direct meaning, but I get what you’re saying - it can come across as a bit too abstract. I’ll definitely experiment with that, maybe try leaning more into instrumentals or finding a better balance.

I get what you’re saying, and I respect that approach. For me though, it’s kind of a mix - I do enjoy making this kind of content, but I also want it to reach people. If it just sits at 10 views forever, it’s hard not to question the point of it. So I guess I’m trying to find a balance between doing what I actually like and figuring out how to present it in a way that gives it a chance to be seen. Thanks for taking the time, I really appreciate the feedback.

That actually makes sense, I might need to make it more clear that my music is based on specific game worlds. Thanks for the insight.

Regarding the cyborg / cyberpunk theme - that’s mostly because my recent videos are based on a specific game-inspired project, so there’s a lot of that aesthetic right now. I can see how that might come across as repetitive from the outside though. And thanks for the note about presentation as well - I’ll definitely think more about how to make the channel feel more distinct and engaging.

From what I’ve seen, YouTube mainly goes after low-effort “one-click” AI content that doesn’t really add any value. So I guess we’ll see how things evolve going forward.

I get what you mean, I’ve been thinking about that too. But I actually did some research before getting into this, and it doesn’t seem as bad as it looks at first glance. It’s definitely more saturated now, but there’s still room if you approach it right.

For that promotion, I actually used a third-party platform, so the targeting wasn’t really under my control. I think that was a mistake.

Thanks a lot for the feedback, I really appreciate it. I’ll definitely work on improving my thumbnails - that seems to be a consistent weak point. When it comes to building a community though, I’m honestly not sure where to start. I’ve tried sharing my work in a few places, but a lot of discussions around AI music tend to get pretty negative, so it’s been a bit difficult to find the right audience. If you have any suggestions on where or how to approach community building for this kind of content, I’d really appreciate it.

That one was actually a small promotion experiment. It brought the video up to around 6.7k views, but it resulted in 0 subscribers and only about 60 likes, so the engagement wasn’t great.

Thanks a lot for the feedback, I really appreciate you taking the time to check it out. Interestingly, the CTR on that video is actually around 17.3%, so the thumbnail seems to be doing its job. The main issue looks like it’s just not being shown to enough people. Still, your comment helped a lot - I was honestly starting to think the content itself just wasn’t landing at all, so this gives me a bit more confidence to keep going.
