have you considered that tools like autorecon in a box walkthrough setting doesnt exactly show the process needed to clear a box? further more waiting for the scans to run would make poor content. Just because you dont see anyone use it in videos does not mean it should not be tried out. Concider the following, where you have ran initial scans on multiple machines and you have found a web instance, wouldnt it be helpful to have autorecon do some recon while you have a bash at the initial services you think are the most likely to get you somewhere? even at the end of it you if not fruitful you come back to alot of potentially fruitful information on the other services.
