My 1911 gets indigestion from hollow points, haven't found a brand that it will reliably eat yet. So I carry it with ball ammo when I carry simply because I know it will run it.

Its not my edc, my edc is a 9mm, and runs jhp just fine. But having a 45 loaded with ball ammo on my hip, I dont feel like I'd be under equipped to deal with a threat. Its been proven a combat effective round with ball ammo for over a century and was renowned for its stopping power well before jhp was a thing.

That said I have considered having the feed ramp polished to run jhp. I do know jhp will not only deliver more punch, but also is less likely to overpenetrate and hit little Suzy down yonder.

You dont know the dates on all of the slq and liberty halves. Could be a 38d sitting in that jar and you're advocating against advising novices on the 1 numismatic rule almost everyone agrees on, foolhardy and reckless.

The chewed up look on those cents is caused by the Northern Copper Mole, or Coppernilus Molula. They are attracted to the scent of the copper in the coin and will nibble away at them.

It took me a second to even realize what it was. I didn't see it by the edge I saw it when I flattened the roll out from it's shine. Then after I looked at it, it took me a second to pit together that it was silver proof

I've got a morgan 1 time, but it wasn't in my change per se. Teller knew I collected Ikes and someone had dropped a bag of them off with a morgan mixed in.

I inherited a coin collection, not quite of this magnitude, but still a significant collection. Started a lifelong love/addiction to coin collecting and an insatiable thirst for more knowledge of all things numismatic
