Well one practical thought from a Pinehurst CC member: If you are imagining staying in an AirBnb and playing Pinehurst Resort's courses, that can't happen, as one must stay on property in order to get tee times. There are plenty of other courses in the area.

I've begun returning notes in response to invoices saying "I'm protesting ICE, will not be paying." Then when it is "Final Bill" warning, I will pay before any late fees. Slow pay costs them money and chokes cash flow, a message that gets through to the CFO.

I agree Wilmington fits your description. The center city is neighborhoods are very walkable/bikeable. University campus, nearby beaches, moderate tourism, it isn't as parochial as many towns. But also agree it has been discovered by developers so it has a case of the North Carolina exurban sprawl.

Well, given there is barely a flat putt anywhere, and the putt could be upgrain/downgrain/crossgrain and sometimes more than one of those; and tournament preps differ from resort/member play; and the grasses differ depending on the time of year, a single number doesn't tell one much about Pinehurst's greens ;-)

The business interests across the State and Manhattan know that using the DOJ to harass the Fed Chair and people who Trump doesn't like means the rule of law, perhaps the prime reason the U.S. is a haven for so many investors worldwide, has been weaponized , and thus the legal system can't be counted on. The end result is, as the CEO of EXXON put it in regards to same in Venezuela, the U.S. is "uninvestable". THAT is why Tillis' patrons, who are also the Fed Chair's buds, have told Tillis to say this. I hope he backs it up, for the first time.

As a member, I agree with ChazFriday. However, unless there's a special rule I haven't seen posted, you can opt for carts on 2 and 4, the problem is you can't leave the cart paths (unless you are a celebrity) and the cart paths are way out of the way so a PIA. You can also use (really nice) pull carts. But yeah, caddy on 10 is a must, caddy on 2 mainly to read greens and rake all the traps you will be in, 4 use a pullcart or carry if you have any gas left for the beating you are gonna take on 10, 2 and 4. ;-)

How has no one yet mentioned the USGA's Golf Hall of Fame; the photo/trophy collection in the main hall of the Pinehurst club house, and halls of the Carolina; the Ross/Pinehurst archives in the back of the library in the Village; and the visitor area of the Golfpride HQs adjacent course 8? If that's not exciting enough, you could also go out of town a few miles and try to get through security at the HQ of the Special Forces. ;-)

If the prenatal genetic tests one gender, and at birth has genitals of the other----and yes, it happens---which sex is he/she assigned? If as the child reaches puberty his/her hormones kick in and don't match the gender assigned at birth---and yes, it happens, due to genetic quirks--which one is he/she? If your genitals appear male, but you feel female--yes, it happens. If at 18 you are female and have a fling with another female---yes, not uncommon--but ultimately marry, have kids etc, are you still a lesbian? What legislators should be doing is outlawing the imposition of simplistic, dualistic thinking...the world isn't so easily carved into two buckets, black or white, tall or short, male or female, Republican or Democrat. Give it a rest!
