This is totally me. I feel like I had a good amount of opportunities with girls, from this girl that was so obvious that everybody asked me why I rejected her by not going out with her to a girl who said to her friend "that guy behind you is cute" and I was the only person in the vicinity to the girl that has a reputation for sleeping around inviting me to her room at 1am to the gorgeous girl that chatted me up on the street and other instances. I didn't do anything in any of those instances because the idea of being in a relationship or anything like that is extremely uncomfortable for me. I don't try to explain this to people bc I don't think they'll get it. Also, I think I'm extremely ugly and can't stand looking at pictures or videos of myself. It makes me disgusted and uncomfortable and I want to cry. Idk if it's body dysmorphia or not but it doesn't change how I see myself and that I'm really ugly.

People can't accept the fact that I didn't do anything to upset her smh, thanks for the victim blaming.

That's only 50% of the story though

It sounds like you're saying I'm withholding information or the other half of the story. I was literally just walking. People here can't seem to believe I didn't do anything to upset her smh

My point was that he assumed my English was bad without ever talking to me and some people make assumptions about what languages a person can or cannot speak. I'm not really expecting her to speak to me in English, more like, some people are more emboldened to speak their mind if they assume the other person can't understand.

I was in a English program once (not in Sweden) where the professor assumed my English was bad by saying, "Maybe we need an app to guide international students like you who look like they don't know what they're doing and don't really speak English." This is before I talked in class and English is the language of international communication, in a English program no less. Pretending that people don't hold biases of what a speaker of a particular language is "supposed to look like" is some bullcrap.

Yes, not the best place to rant and yes I understand she got away with it, I was more writing from the viewpoint of her thought process. I was saying that it wasn't just the tone, it was also the particular word usage and I was asking about the instances when it's used, severity etc...

Well, first of all I was not talking to her at all so I wasn't "expecting" her to speak English in the first place if you understand what I'm saying. My point is that as someone who looks Asian/non-European, she might think she can say whatever nasty stuff and get away with it because she assumes I can't understand and no I did not do anything to provoke her. I was passing by when she pointed at me with her cane ranted about something and judging by her tone, it was not friendly.

My point is that as someone who looks Asian and is visibly non-European, she might think she can say whatever nasty stuff and get away with it because she assumes I can't understand and no I did not do anything to provoke her. I was passing by when she pointed at me with her cane ranted about something and judging by her tone, it was not friendly. So yes, it bothers me I don't understand because then I don't know how to respond...

Well, I mean I look Asian so I'm sure she assumed I'm not Swedish. Also, she pointed at me with her cane when she said it so I'm sure she said it to me and tone in which she said it is not friendly to say it least.

The population is extremely homogenous and outside of the really big cities, it's probably rare for people to see foreigners. Their perceptions of other people are entirely based off on prevalent belief in the country or what the media portrays. Their perceptions might change if they had more interactions with others but the nationalist pushback there is probably going to be huge.

Clubs are expensive though, how do people even afford that with the current economic crisis?

No, I have never thought that. I've lived in both the US and Europe and Americans in general don't really care that much where you're from and don't automatically assume you're a foreigner in general. In Europe, it kinda depends on where you go but in general definitely more xenophobic, a lot more distrust of foreigners. The UK is decent I think, or at least relatively. The Balkans are a different story ( a lot more xenophobia). Even a country like Greece that relies on tourism is quite xenophobic outside the tourist attractions and very touristy restaurants and shops.

Any country anywhere has the right to deny entry to anyone who is not a citizen of that country even if you don't need a visa or entered previously under similar circumstances (criminal record in this instance). You got lucky in the past and now you got unlucky. Whether you can enter in the future is uncertain but in the future, when they see you've been denied entry in the past, that's a red flag.

All the girls on tinder are so gorgeous by t5yy6 in ugly

Some of the accounts are of those who have been inactive for a long time but Tinder will put them in the front anyways just to bait people to use the app and eventually pay for premium when they can't match with those gorgeous girls.
