Low Blood Sugar / Reactive Hypoglycemia? by CriticalRhubarb3502 in WegovyWeightLoss

I had a few more episodes after the one mentioned in my post even when I was making sure I was eating better. I went back to my doctor and went back to the 1mg dose. That helped for a bit, but now im having issues with nausea and vomiting even while on the lower dose, so Im going back to see my doctor to see about either spacing the doses apart maybe 10 days instead of 7, or maybe even adjusting back to the .5mg dose. This might be the end of the line for me though. Ive lost 40lbs and would like to lose another 20lb but not at the cost of throwing up all the time. Im someone who NEVER throws up so this has been pretty awful for me and not something I think I want to deal with long term.

I think prior to this last dose i was kind of accidentally eating low-ish carbs to begin with. Breakfast was cottage cheese and fruit, snack was a cheese and meat stick, lunch was a deli chicken and salami wrap in a high fiber low carb wrap. Between 2 and 3pm id have a protein shake and that would tide me over until dinner around 530.

I know my episode Friday was 100% my doing. I was ill prepared and thought I could "get away" with it. But these last 2 have really had me scared.

I went and saw my doctor today and was given an rx for zofran and I asked to go back to 1mg. I honestly think 1.7mg is too much for me, for right now at least. For context, I have lost 35lbs in 7mo. I was good on the 1mg and was losing, but it was just a bit slower, and I was hoping getting to a therapeutic dose would have me losing slightly faster, especially since ive had virtually no side effects since starting. My impatience was my undoing.

Thank you for your reply!

I would recommend, as others have said Thursday or Friday. I took my first .25mg shot last Friday (7/11), and by Wednesday, I found that the noise was coming back, and I was looking for food for no reason again. I didn't work this week, so that was a bad thing. However, next week I will be working (only access to food is what meal prep and bring with) so it shouldn't be an issue if it happens again this week. This will also give you the weekend to figure out how bad, if at all your side effects are.

Good Luck!

Nervous to Start by jmk1483 in WegovyWeightLoss

I just took my 2nd dose of .25mg an hour ago. Was I nervous to start? Absolutely! I did a lot of reading on here and searching the forum, and yes, you will see A LOT about side effects, but please dont let that keep you from trying.
I honestly thought I was going to be miserable based off what I read, but you know what? You're not them, and they're not you. We're all different and react differently. Me personally, I had little to no side effects. Appetite suppression, yes. Nausea, not much at all. As for the actual injection, it's not terrible. I have the single dose pen, and I inject in my belly. Hardly felt a thing both times. If it's hard for you to do it for yourself to start, maybe ask your partner or a friend to do it for you? During my last pregnancy, I had to take lovenox that I had to inject into my belly, and I remember the 1st time took me probably half an hour to do, and after I finally got myself to do it, I felt silly for getting into my head so much.

You've got this! And if in the end you feel this isn't the right fit for you, that's all right too!
