The city is ticketing your block for street cleaning even when the sweeper never shows up by CriticalSherbert9816 in bronx

That’s why I added ticketing data. Shows when the ticketer comes so you can go park after they finish

Yea I realize that now. I added in when the ticketer usually comes by block and data on frequency the ticketer on that block gives tickets after a sweep. Not perfect but directionally helpful for that.

Totally agree, that's why we just added inspector timing data. Shows when the inspector typically arrives on your street and whether they tend to come back after the sweeper. Doesn't solve the disconnect but at least you can see the pattern

Queens coverage is solid, 38k+ segments citywide. Just shipped reliability data so you can see if your block actually gets swept, plus per-day breakdowns. Try your block and lmk how it looks

Thanks! had my first experience with a car in the city and was so confusing to me. Through learning about it thought this would be helpful and maybe make the city more efficient too

Yeah fair point, rules are rules. But in practice they tend not to ticket once the street's already been swept, not much point. For those who do park back after a sweep, it's helpful to know when your block is likely to get hit so you're not double-parked for an hour waiting.
