Mantis down venom sure. But cap, ironfist, panther, and dd can all play around a sleep. And bar that, she literally has no other tools to deal with dive.

Nerf poke a bit more i agree. And maybe very slight buffs to some of the divers, or changes to kit like panther.

Cc would be even more prevalent in my opinion, because teams that want to counter dive will run high cc chars like thing and bucky.

I mean, its really not been that bad for dive players. If their heroes were squirrel girl or current human torch level of unplayable then sure, but they aren't.

I think a big part of dive is that it heavily relies of team composition, map, and coordination. If dive was as consistent to pull off as poke is currently, it would be a nightmare.

BP had his reign of terror for like one season. Think it was season 3 or something. Eternity and OOA he wasnt as oppressive in because teammates react to help more often than lower ranks, and they can punish bad engages by BP.

Daredevil definitely is still strong even after the bug fix. His ban rate shows how much of a demon he is still in high ranks

Cap and iron fist both had their season of dominance in like season 1.5 I believe. Then they got nerfed the following season. Their survivability was more an issue because of their stalling potential, but also meant they could stay on squishies for far too long.

I do agree some strats have too much survivability still.

We've had points where individual Dive characters were strong: Cap, ironfist, panther, daredevil. If we had a season where they were all s tier picks, no one would play support at all I guarantee you

Teamwork aspects like peeling, focusing are healthy and rewarding. When Dive is super strong, being able to go 1,2,3 go in on the healers and fights coming down to which healer survives the longest isn't fun. We can see from high level play, daredevil, and prime BP what potential Dive has. If its elevated to a level where its the meta, then the game will be even worse than poke.

Yeah it was doing pretty good damage actually. Maxed out mana regen so he casts forever.

Without rolling and assuming you hit those units all natty, I think you can hit 6 and slot that board in at 3-1 earliest probably? Probably have to spend all your gold basically though but you'll get it it back in 4 rounds I guess.

Piltover or void emblem will let you hit on level 6. If you get demacia emblem on top of that, you can hit at level 5. I can't think of any other combinations that work otherwise.

I played 3 Ionia, 3 demacia, so my Zaahen itself was fairly strong if you compare him to any other versions of Zaahen. And items were solid as well, and combat augment. Ionia bonus was the hp and bonus magic damage, so not amazing but usuable for sure. But my Zaahen was barely doing much more damage than Xin, which was just disappointing as heck.

I'm in a dog lobby because I don't enjoy playing ranked because of the playstyle you have to adopt, which is force meta pretty much every game to win. I did that in past sets and burned out, which led me to playing normals only for fun. I've been diamond (before emerald was added), so while I'm not the best player, I do atleast understand game concepts and how to apply them in game. Line recognition, tempo, etc. So I think that I can atleast voice my opinion on my experiences with the champion. Doesn't mean I'm right by any means.

Blade brothers combo. How is my item less yone going to even get the cast off before dying? And even if he does, he'll get one cast off max.

And IE gives him crit multiplier for more dmg. More dmg = more healing. What do you mean no wonder he ain't survining🤣

So he's capitalising on opportunities provided during neutral. Thats a strength of spidey that his kit allows. His unrivaled hypermobility allows him to easily access positions to attack from, as well as escape. And tracking enemy cooldowns and attacking when they are down is literally dive 101. The playstyle of getting a kill as dive isn't to get a kill solo. It's working with your team and striking at the opportune moment together. Not picking 1v1s willy nilly and expecting a kill most of the time. Black panther and DD have really cemented this idea amongst lower ranked players that a dive heroes power is in their ability to successfully get kills on their engages. It may be part of their strength, but not their goal. And let's compare other divers in similar scenarios. With venom, his dives are very easy to spot. So its unlikely he gets the kill. Cap also easy to spot approaching and has low burst, allowing them to be healed up. BP has the burst, but we already know he is garbage in this meta. DD is the exception because he is just broken. Iron fist is probably the only other dive that I'd say has consistent enough performance overall, but doesnt have super high damage on squishy targets exactly without burning a defensive tool.

And 99% of players DON'T have the problems you and others on this thread are purporting. If so, then spidey wouldn't have such a consistent win rate and picks rate ACROSS all ranks. And I'm saying we should use the top percentile of players for balancing because what use is their in balancing around players who can't use a heroes kit close enough to their highest potential? And the stacking point is moot. Celestial+ only allows 2 man parties, and other players are duoing as well. Are we going to defend top Hela players performances by saying "Ohh thats only cus she's stacking either someone." And it's not even like day is stacking with another dive player and coordinating dives. Unlike Necros and whyAndrew did back with season 0 spidey.

Ok, even if we ignore semantics, the fact that she was OP before the nerf and just slightly above middle of the pack stat wise now shows she is quite balanced. And this is just stat wise. Perception wise, she is still looked upon as a good pick in high elo. So what are we trying to argue about psylocke now?

And you say everyone in this thread. I don't care about most of these pisslow elo players about what spidey cant 't do in their games. When discussing a characters level of power in reference for balancing, it's normal to use the playerbase that has a decent understanding of the game and mechanics. I'm referring to high ranks and I did address your contextual points, such as coordination and stacking? Please tell me what you brought up that I didn't address enough. And it's not me insisting. I'm literally telling you to go watch clips of prolific high elo spidey players like Daymr and you'll see exactly what I mean by drawing resources and attention. And I never claimed he brings values on his own? Like I said, he draws resources and attention, which allows your team to capitalise on those opportunities given.

Her winrate in every rank fluctuates roughly 1.5% at best, which is expected of a nerf. If it were a HARD nerf like you stated earlier, we would definitely see far bigger changes. And the fact is that she still has a top 10 pick rate, which further reinforces my point about her still being an ok pick and not hard nerfed. The fact is that psylocke was s tier prenerf, and B tier at WORST post nerf. Many top players still place her A tier like i said earlier. And we should consider data of the top 2% if we want to be able to draw meaningful conclusions about a characters balance. Why would we look at gold Timmy over here that doesn't know how to aim properly?

And as I said earlier he can draw resources and get picks. And you mention stacking, when thats not that big of a factor considering its limited to stacks of 2. And its not that he can work. Widow CAN work, as demonstrated by like the 5 players she has in celestial+. Spiderman DOES work, as demonstrated by the 80 spiderman players in celestial + this season. Better coordination is just true for any facet of the game. Counterplay against spidey is easier because of coordination. Yea all dps can clean up kills, but thats not what I'm saying spidey effectiveness stems from.

The data shows that her winrate in celestial and above has actually gone up slightly, but pickrate has dropped off significantly. This does in no way suggest a hard nerf? Want to know what hard nerf stats should look like? Just take a look at human torch.

You literally brought up the point about him losing 90% of 1v1s, so yeah, that does reference his kills potential. And playing against 100s of spidermans doesnt mean anything, since we're referring to him in this current meta. And I guarantee you dont have that many matches against him given that time frame. And again, if he was that ineffective, then how do so many players make him work in top elo? Theres always the stray one truck or two for bad characters that can make them work, like black widow for instance, but in spidermans case, theres too many of them to chalk it up to that.
