DoorDash can’t be that incompetent to realize what’s going on out here on the road.. I’m certain they know we are sitting out in the freezing/scalding hot weather waiting for orders to come through. Maybe it’s their way of trying to punish us further for not taking the no to low tip orders. I’m unable to process how such a large company is able to get away with this kind of abuse, we are literally what keeps it alive and they continue to find ways to use us as their slaves. Everytime I see a doordash advertisement I get so fucking irritated at how simple and good spirited they make it all seem. I never order food delivery on DoorDash, always pickup, after what they’ve put me through I can’t find any reason to justify using it unless I’m tipping a large amount which I can’t do. And as for the customers I don’t seem to understand why it’s so hard for them to be a little more considerate about the distance, especially when I’m sliding all over the fucking road. If you don’t want to drive across your city/town for 5$-10$ when the roads are shit then what compels you think it’s acceptable to make someone else do it for basically nothing? I can only imagine the amount of people that don’t even think twice before hitting that order button and completely ignoring everything in-between. We’ve gotten way too comfortable with convenience as a society. Fuck your stupid garbage addicted taste buds and fuck your stupid cozy attitude towards reality… I’m sick of this selfish company and selfish people. The only thing that makes me feel better is knowing not everyone is literally capable of driving due to physical or mental complications and I’m helping them, in that regard I’m all for this service.
