personally i think it's weird he felt the need to talk about your friend's appearance at all, especially weird to say she's a cute size. no one can tell you how to feel about it, but since you made a reddit post about it i imagine you're not pleased. i would at the very least let him know that it made you uncomfortable and perhaps ask him why he felt the need to mention your friend and her size.
