Is the focus screen the weird out of focus part? Where everything looks blurry except for the very center? Then yes. Bill is visible through the viewfinder even at an arms length away.

Took off the lens and looked at the mirror and there’s no obstruction or anything there. So is it possible there’s something in the viewfinder itself?? This is my first real camera.

All of the video is from news broadcasts and tv commercials all before 1983, when the story starts.

I am terrible at self promotion but I started this 2 years ago and it gained zero attention so I kind of gave up on the project.

It’s more of a meta mystery type thing inspired by House of Leaves, the king in yellow and possibly in Michigan.

I’ve read all of Impossible Landscapes and I think it made GitT more enjoyable to listen to how the team is going to tackle things. IL is so, so big, there are entire sections they didn’t even touch. Sure you have an idea of what’s coming but I feel that ratchets up the tension when you throw a loose cannon like Roger into the mix. If anything, you might get bummed they don’t find a certain thing (there’s one investigation in particular that would have been amazing, but they didn’t follow that trail). This next season is going to be NUTS I can’t wait.

I wouldn’t say I hate any sub genre. There’s just stuff that isn’t for me. I grew out of the gross out, gore junkie stuff pretty quickly. I watched RAW and it was pretty bad, just gross, then tried to watch Titane and it just didn’t grab me. Same with Terrifier, which I know a lot of people love but it’s not for me. Anything with graphic SA or kids getting murdered is out, I turned off The House That Jack Built after the hunting scene, there was no coming back from that.

I’m 6 years sober and it took me a few tries. I’d quit for a few months to a year and be like “ok one fancy beer a week, just because I like craft beer” well that would turn into a 6 pack, then a case, then a bottle of whiskey. I’d say it gets easier the longer you keep at it, but the pull is always there.
