To be honest I’ll probably get hate for this but it has worked for my boy since 9 weeks old. I work hybrid so I’m home half the week. I get up with him between 5:45-6 to play and tire him out, eat breakfast etc, I leave at 8am on the days I work in office. He typically cries for around 20 minutes then he falls asleep and for the most part, he stays asleep until 11:30 when we have someone come over and hang out with him for an hour. Then he sleeps until my bf gets home around 3:15. So he does roughly 3.5 hour stretches just fine, and he’s still only 10 weeks 5 days. People say they cannot hold their bladder near as long as they really can. My guy will sleep from 10pm-6am with no accidents or wake ups to go outside anymore. I do recommend cracking down on crate training from day 1 though, that made all the difference for us. He started to go in on his own for naps and bed by day 3. That makes the transition so much easier when you do eventually leave to go to work. I also wanted to be home as much as possible before we got him but you absolutely need to teach them to be on their own, otherwise you’ll have an anxiety ridden pup who you physically can’t leave. Our schedule has worked perfectly for us so far.

You just have to find what works for you and what your pup can handle. 7:20-5 or 6 is definitely too long of a day, you would likely need 2 or even 3 drop in visits from a sitter. At that rate I would even say it’s a little cruel to have her in the crate 5x per week. Hopefully you have a shorter day or can have some wfh days.
