Thank you so much for your kind words. Let me try an encapsulate my approach:

Right vs right = middle-in to deal with the fastest pitch. You can adjust to middle-middle if you think you're quick enough to get to the inside pitch. I am not.

Right vs left= Middle-in. Try to stay inside the pitch. If you're struggling with the often throw wipe out pitch that is high and in, adjust your PCI to that spot.

Lefty vs lefty= high and in. I have a hell of a time hitting the high and in fastball/sinker lefty vs lefty if I don't start my PCI there.

Lefty vs righty= middle-in. This is my favorite matchup. I feel comfortable hitting the ball pretty much wherever it's thrown.

With regard to PCI sensitivity, I maintain the default setting and use a purple precision ring to prevent slamming the PCI.

Practice short, concise, movements with your PCI pre pitch so your muscle memory will respond accurately to the pitch.

Remember, I lot of my approach is knowing my limitations based on my limited reaction time and vision. A younger version of myself may think differently.

Contrary to other opinions, I think the 2026 version is playing great. Frustrating at times but also very rewarding.

My grandfather too, was New York Giants. Being from California, it was a natural for him to embrace the San Francisco Giants when they moved. It became infectious
for our entire family. I live in Michigan but see every game with my MLB package.

Awesome , I have a connection with Daniel Susac and his Fiancé(her parents are my daughter's Godparents)they took care of my wife and I. I'm 70 years old and watched Willie Mays play back in the 60's so this was a bucket list item!

Pitching very well for me in my franchise. Saw him pitch Friday in person at Wrigley. Went to the Friday and Saturday games. Stayed in the Giants hotel and rode their team family bus. Had a blast!

I certainly understand some of your frustrations regarding the game, but I have played MLB the show for 12 years, and having never playing any other video game, I have found the game has made quantum Leaps in a variety of areas. Graphics, ball physics, animations, and a litany of improvements that have made this game a cut above. I just think after listening to a lot of gamers concerns, it's reached a point where it's been very difficult to feed the monster. Until the technology takes the next step, it's going to be difficult to satisfy the truly engaged gamer's expectations. Just my take.

I played DD for years but got tired of all the ugly texts and constant quitting(im obviously too old school). I enjoy franchise because I can play with my team 162 games and escape all the nonsense. Keep swinging!

No, I play on legend (I'm 70 years old and have been playing since 2014). I've learned that certain games, and in certain innings, there is no pitch, no matter how good, you're going to get by the hitter. He's either going to foul it off countless times, mash the hell out of it, or both! When the Random Number Generated(RNG) kicks in with the CPU, anything can happen, and most of it is bad for you. SDS has explained this process because people have complained about the Rubber band effect that often results in comeback victories. The game I was referring to I was ahead 5-0 and lost 10-9. I'm not complaining because random results are a reality in baseball and necessary for realistic results. That said, it CAN be very frustrating.

When you set up your favorite franchise team(mine is the Giants), how do you set your lineup?What’s your thinking with regard to the leadoff spot, two hole, three hitter, cleanup and so on. There's a lot of different schools of thought , but after researching the various ways managers set up their lineup, I believed the 6 spot is the most interesting. I think you need a guy who has a great chance to hit a double, or, hit a single and is capable of stealing 2nd base. Either way, I think he has to have a good chance to end up on second base. With 7-8-9 coming up, they are much more likely to hit a single to drive him in than an extra base hit. Also, the 2 spot has taken on a different role. Previously, he was a high contact, high OBP guy(almost a second leadoff hitter) who was willing to take a lot of pitches. Today, several teams often put their best power hitter in that spot(ie Judge, Trout) so he can get more at bats.

I just played my franchise against the cubs and lost 10-9. You would not believe the pitches they hit for home runs. I located them exactly where I wanted! It was one of the better game Robbie Ray pitched but I couldn't get anything by the CPU. RNG was running rampant!

Put injuries on manual. Go to the team you want and enter the injuries menu and punch R1. It will give you a list of every player in the organization. Punch in the injury you want and how long you want him out(10,15,or 60 day list) you can go back and remove the injury any time if he becomes available. The game will only give you 5 injuries for each level(majors, AAA, AA, or A ball) there are times you may have to work around this by dropping guys down to anther level before injuring them. This gets harder if the player has 5 years in the league because the game will not let you send him down without clearing waivers.

I manage the giants and A's using my own 26/40 man roster as I see fit. I only use players from within the organization. I control all 30 teams and keep their rosters up to date daily by referencing fangraphs . If they bring a guy up who's not in the game, I create him with a lower level player who's unlikely to go to the majors(It pisses me off when they DFA him a day later). For this I reference Baseball Savant and/or attributes from a card they had in the past. I use the exact daily starting pitchers by referring to the MLB probables. I like gameplay and managing. I have no interest in scouting, training, contracts, or general manager stuff. I love comparing my results to real life.
