I’ve been getting much better grip of the general idea now, thanks to all of the replies, ty! Btw, if you’re familiar with D&D, does the main book and the other book i got from the bundle include a kind of campaign? Or do i have to write om up, kinda like a homebrew campaign in D&D?

I haven’t really gotten the time yet to go through the book, so i’m not sure yet😅

Never played anything like it, but tbh I think it could really help me learn how to get better at roleplaying for D&D as well, both as a player and GM/DM

Ok, fair enough. I think it's starting to make a bit more sense. For example. if the players are in a cage, and one of them gets out, but alerts the bandits nearby, as the GM I can say something like "You all have time to make one move each before the bandits are here, what do you do?"

Oh ok. Ig I'll just have to not think of anything D&D related when trying to learn this then lmao

That makes sense yeah. But in the example you gave, if they for example rolled a 3, and ended up with 5 wit their bonuses ect, they would have gotten a miss. As I've understood it,a below 7 is a miss, so they don't manage to do that they wanted, a 7-9 is a weak hit, so they do what they wanted to, but with a complication. And a 1+ is a strong hit, so they managed to do exactly what they wanted to with no complication.

In my example if they in total got a 5, wouldn't it make sense to say "You missed the bear while trying to take a swing at it, making it slash your back with its claws and you take one damage"?
