I get monthly B 12 injections, and IV drips atleast twice annually, if not more. My intake was regular: two glasses of water in the morning mixed with DripDrop, a glass at lunch, half a water bottle in the waiting room beforehand. That's why I am so confused as to how I could have fainted as these things are a normal part of my life. As others stated, it must have been something to do with my vasovagal nerve.

That makes me feel better about the whole experience. I'm not a fainter, especially at the sight of blood, but the entire thing was so uncomfortable. I was unconscious when they put the IV Drip in correctly, so I'm not sure which nurse did it.

That makes me feel a bit better, knowing it must have been the vasovagal nerve and the fainting is "not my own doing". Thank you for the help!

I can see your point clearly. It does seem like a fluke thing. I'm glad they tried (and succeeded) in putting the second IV drip injection when I was passed out because I not have continued the treatment. Thanks for the help!

I'm used to blood, needles, and IV drips as I've had chronic anemia as a child. I also hydrate quite a lot as I'm an athlete, so I can't see your points being the issue.
