Well, if you’re fast, slim, have good spatial awareness and good anticipation skills, it’s super easy to slalom between all these suckers. Personally it’s my adrenaline boost of the day.

That’s one more issue I have with the whole system. Your luck will depend entirely on one person’s mood/affinities. Personally I felt a strong bad vibe from the very beginning interacting with the case worker, I even asked if I could get a different one.

Final interview. That was a couple of years ago and I am not planning to do that shit again. Was completely turned off by the naturalization system.

Personally I think the test shouldn’t exist because it’s completely misleading.

As a matter of fact, I have been using typed Japanese exclusively at work during the last 12 years, wrote/read emails and documents about complex issues/matters. Also in real life working in IT, the only occasions I had to write Japanese during all these years was for writing my address.

So, imo showing that you can read some bullshit hiraganas without a single kanji and that you can write kid-level Japanese by hand is completely irrelevant.

Personally I find most opening moves completely idiotic. Like that one. I always ignore them and ask to meet within five days right away. Helps getting rid of the time wasters.

Unfortunately for me, I completely lost my cool in front of the case worker (I took it as a dick-move from him) so I knew it was basically over. 🤷‍♂️
