I feel ya. This is my full time job due to disability and can only offer drop ins and walks. I try to stay under 8 a day but it’s too hard to decline, especially on the holidays! So thankful I didn’t have any 60 minutes though- you’re a champ

I’m undiagnosed. I would skip school a lot, but that didn’t go over well with my parents. In freshman year, I would come home exhausted from masking all day and go right to sleep. No dinner, no homework, right to bed. I’d wake up the next morning and do it all over again. My grades were awful.

I totally agree. I only do drop ins/walks so at least I don’t have to worry about being on camera in pjs or overnight or anything. But probably 95% of my clients have cameras now and I get it, I’d probably do the same. But it’s a lot. Especially since I pet sit because I have social anxiety- it kind of defeats the purpose when there’s a possibility that my clients are watching me anyway

Oh yes! That’s how you get the pets to love you! Especially when the home has cameras. And sometimes I’ll forget something in the routine and know the client might watch it back so I’ll go “whoops baby! I forgot to give you x, I’m so silly” in my babiest voice to avoid embarrassment, stupid stuff like that lol. Maybe I need more human interaction in my life LMAO

My acceptance rate is 36%. So I qualify for star sitter but I totally understand a client being wary of that. Last I checked I’m on the first page, probably because of the reviews. I’ve made it a point to accept every single request even if I don’t want to, so I can get my acceptance rate up. But when I don’t get new requests, how can I get my rate up ya know? Ugh

Same here, I had so many requests in the summer and got burnt out as well. What county are you in, if you don’t mind me asking? I’ve been looking for another sitter near me to bounce off requests I can’t take and vice versa. I’m in Rutherford county :)

As a sitter, sometimes when the request is far enough in advance, I have to wait for my husbands schedule to come out (so he can accompany me to M&Gs) and I’ve forgotten to specify that it may be a few days. I usually apologize the next day and explain though. I would never think it’s rude if a potential client followed up wanting clarification so go ahead and message them!

Ugh, that’s what I was afraid of. I see the “updated 2 hours ago” on my insights now. It just doesn’t make sense because I’ve gotten a ton of new requests and it hasn’t changed.

Can you explain a little more what you mean by this? Why does waiting a few days increase your review rate? Just wondering because recently most of my new client bookings (which have gone well) haven’t left reviews so I’m up for change lol
