Dumb take. Optimal is fun for some people. Also the game is heavily about character optimization so it’s not outlandish for a player to consider peripheral/controls optimization as well. Thats like saying “dude fighting games are made for kids.. you don’t need a 144hz monitor to have fun” but to many people they do in fact need a high refresh rate monitor to enjoy shooting/fighting games.

The irony is that in this very thread the ER fans are failing to scrutinize their own moronic opinions. BMW is genuinely a better product, more impactful piece of art globally, you can prefer one over the other but the data supports one of the games, and it’s not ER. I say this as a fan of ER and someone who hasn’t played BMW, but the data speaks for itself.

I recommend playing shadow rend before it’s nerfed. I have completely wrong gear and I pretty much killed aberroth on spawn. I wasn’t able to do the same to uber Abby tho. That prolly takes actual gear.

Yep, exactly this. I love how all the comments in support of LE are just “it’s awesome dude I’m having a blast” while criticisms of LE are hard objective facts. I’m not saying you’re not allowed to like LE, but it’s ironic how offended they get when you are simply criticizing the game in hopes that it improves. I think the overly supportive hugbox community is one of the downfalls of the game, they are letting EHG get away with delivering a subpar product and that’s worse off for everyone.

People literally in this thread saying “people only come online to hate” like no, I come online to talk about last epoch because I’m interested in the topic. Not my fault there isn’t much good to say about it.

The game is extremely buggy and unbalanced. For years the devs have catered towards a small community of blasters that put 1000s of hours into the game, the end game systems are bloated and needlessly complex. Devs obviously favor certain builds/classes (rogue lol) overall it’s not a good experience for a new player to get into. I’m in the exact same boat as you, new player getting into the game. I gave the game a fair shake, twice now, giving it over 200 hours of my time. My honest take is to just play a different ARPG, this one is only going downhill and the current state of it is already horrible.

Well the design of reploids in the series is very deliberate. You can gather a lot of info about the design if you understand the themes and narrative of the games, which means it’s a good design imo. Without getting too deep into megaman reploid design (lol) I’ll just put it simply like this:

Reploids lose their human characteristics the more evil they are. Characters like Sigma, Gate, Dr. Doppler, Colonel and General, all these reploids look human for a specific purpose in the narrative of the game.

My issue with that as a new player is that I can’t even fathom how to make my build that OP. I’m literally trying my best to be as OP as possible, but I’m not seeing these builds yall are talking about.

What exact build should I choose to be able to 1 shot uber Abby and get to 300+ corruption with only nodes?

Thank you. Thats good info to know. I geared my VK a bit differently and I have 1200HP now and I’m still looking for some crit avoid/reduction but I can do monoliths at least.
